Second month on Clomid and Lower Progesterone

My doc tested my progesterone level and it was 3.0.  He put me on Clomid 100 mg and Premarin 0.3 mg.  The next blood test my progesterone level was 0.9. Now he has put me on Metformin 500 mg twice a day.  I am not over weight, in fact I am almost under weight.  I was just wondering if anyone else had had their progesterone level drop the second month or if anyone had any advice.
Thank you

Thanks for the reply.  Just being lower on the clomid freaked me out and talking to others I have not talked to anyone who had a progesterone level as low as mine.  He didn't mention the PCOS but I have been reading up on it on my own anyway.  I got another app with him in a couple of weeks and I got a list of questions for him when I see him bc he prescribed the metformin over the phone.  This is all just so new to me.

Thanks for the input

Hi GidgetGurl! I would't read too much into the fact that your second month was lower than your first. Basically, they're both too low (should be over 10 in a non-medicated cycles and over 12 in a medicated cycle). What that means is that you didn't ovulate properly on your own, and clomid 100 mg didn't help you ovulate either. So...most probably, your doctor will up your dose next to see if that helps.

As for metformin, did he mention PCOS? If you do have PCOS, then the metformin might help with ovulation too.

Good luck with everything!
