Septum Question

I posted this first in the normal forum and not the expert one, so I will post again as this is where I meant to post. Also thank you for your feedback a few months ago as well.

I have had 3 miscarriages in the last 2 years and I will be seeing a specialist in Oct to look into my suspected septum more. My question is that a septum was never mentioned during my first miscarriage we well as I had an u/s many years before due to stomach issues and they did look there as well, but never mentioned. Why would this be?

Also what is the most common way to look at a septum? I have had 3d ultrasounds done with the last pregnancy looking at the septum.

I also have a retroverted uterus and was wondering if I should have this fixed at the same time or if it will do more harm then good?

Also because my cycle is about 23-25 days can this effect pregnancy?

and when it is removed how long do I need to wait to TTC again?

Also here is an image of the last pregnancy a week before the baby passed away and I think it does not look like other people's u/s. Is the septum viewable in it?

Also how long after surgery is usually recommended to take off work or activities. (Note: I did go back to work the day after my D&C's both times.)?

Sorry for all the questions I just have one last one. I have been very anxious lately and always tired and I was wondering if you recommend getting any type of extra vitamins that can be taken with prenatal, 4mg of folic acid (including the 1 mg in the prenatal) and birth control?

Oh and my husband read up on something called "Killer cells" and was wondering if this maybe something that is common?

Oh I have been tested for autoimmune diseases in blood tests though the nurse who called me said everything looked like it was in normal range, but she should give it to the specialist i would be seeing in October and she would talk anything over with me that she might thing is important.

Thank you in advanced.

In the end they did not see anything. I ended up taking progesterone from first positive pregnancy test to 12 weeks and our little one stuck. We gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on Oct. 4, 2012. They did see a uterine band where they thought a septum was before but it did not cause issues.

hoping and will be seeing a specialist in October about it as they need to wait 4 months after a pregnancy ends.

Well, the embryo implants at the top of the uterus, so it may be why you are m/c'ing?  Weither a septum, or maybe scarring, it sounds like you need to address it and see about possibly correcting it.  It could be that easy.  Although now that I think of it, it's probably a septum because you m/c'd before your dnc's. So, it sounds like it might be an easy fix.

Thank you for your input

Well I can get pregnant, just keep loosing the babies around 6-8 weeks old.

The u/s is from my last pregnancy when the baby was 7 weeks 2 days and had a heart rate of 163.

I had a slight septum.  I did a DE cycle and found I had liquid in my lining- my cycle was canceled for other reasons- but I was told they would not do the egg transfer if I still had the liquid.  So when we were getting ready to do the next cycle- my RE decided to have a 3-d ultrasound to look at the septum.  We decided to remove it.  The next cycle we did- there was not any liquid.  In fact, I am 17 weeks pregnant!  I can not say they were directly related- but I am thankful we removed it just in case! Have you met with an RE to discuss your issues?

Also my RE had an ultrasound of my kidneys bc some times if there are uterus issues- there can be kidney issues.  Not that this has anything to do with ttc- but am just telling you as an fyi!

Best wishes to you!  keep us posted!

You could do an HSG, it would give you a great idea of what is going on in your uterus.  That will show you exatly what your uterine cavity looks like.  I am wondering if you maybe have a little bit of scarring from your dnc's and don't even actuallly have a steptum uterus.  That is what happened to me.  They thought I had a septum uterus, and it was actually some scar tissue.
