My advice to you is listen to your dr. On here everyone is different so all we can do is share our stories and give you support. My doc has been my dr for 10 yrs he has said your levels need to be at least in the 2000 range before you can see the baby. Also you may be off with you ovulation and not as far along as you think. Just keep in touch with your dr and keep having your blood drawn. Are you having any cramping or any type of spotting. I garee with Jenna above sometimes it takes a while for numbers to jump. Don't worry about it until you have your u/s. Actually don't worry until your dr tells you too.Good luck and let me know.
I have just joined up after reading so many of your pleasent words and advice we need each other to truly get through this thank you
I am 15dpt, did my betas at 10 dpt first was 84 second two days later at 124 no spotting but i WOKE UP TODAY IN SEVERE CRAMPS for about 15mins there gone now I go back tomorrow RE said that sometimes it takes a little while for the numbers to double is there someone in my similer situation that can give me hope
well we saw a 6 week 5 days old little baby! And even heard the heartbeat!!! My doctor was so shocked! I am so happy and relived!!!
Defintely keep us updated! : ) well my first beta was low at 15 on 14dpiui and now at 18 dpiui its 199 (4 weeks 3 days) so we have to wait a couple more weeks for our ultrasound.. but hopefully will have good news!
GOOD LUCK i'm praying for ya! you don't have much longer to wait!!! : )
Thanks both of you so much for those sweet kind words. I will update Wed after my ultrasound hopefully I will have amazing news!
bny807- what do your numbers look like and how are along are you?
so sorry to hear you had to go through a mc with the blighted ovum! been there and its no fun! as the others have said especially once you get to higher numbers above 1500 etc.. beta's are not as reliable as ultrasound.. many people have abnormal/slower betas and have perfectly healthy pregnancies and babies.. and you always have to think look at all the people who never get any levels checked.. there are defintely people out there who walk around with unperfect unknown beta's and have a perfect pregnancy!
we are also on our 2nd preg (1st after the Blighted ovum) and having beta problems.. second one tomorrow and scared to death! GOOD LUCK at the ultrasound.. hopefully you'll see that little ticker of the heart looking back at ya! your in my prayers!
Awe, hun :( I just want to hug you!
My last pregnancy, my levels weren't doubling every 48 hours like they should. They were on track for doubling every 5 days instead. But, my doctor told me that hcg wasn't as reliable as an u/s. So, after seeing the ultrasound and heartbeat, chances are supposed to be better.
It unfortunately didn't work out for me. I m/c 3 weeks later (even after seeing a hb), but that does NOT mean you shouldn't give up hope; it HAS for others. It's so hard not to be anxious, I know, when you're wondering if something is wrong.
I wish you the best. Try to stay positive and enjoy your pregnancy.
Yes I have an u/s this Wed. I am feeling alot of the pregnancy symptoms now.. maybe that is a sign that my hcg levels have shot up. I would be so happy if I could even a spec Wed! i didn't know I would be able to see something with an u/s after 2,000.... Thanks for the advice, the more I talk to people about my problem the better I feel.
When your hcg is over 2000 you can see what's going on with the u/s. It's the only way to get answers. Did your dr scheduled one?
Good luck!
My RE didn't even test HCG levels once they reached 1500. He started ultrasounds then, as they are a much more reliable indicator of viability. Try not to worry, your ultrasound will tell you something. good luck
