Anyone want to join? DH & I have been trying since 3/08. Preggos once after doing Ferma, trigger & IUI. Sadly, we MC at 5w6d. Now we are moving on to IVF. I am currently taking BCPS (5/19-6-8). I will be starting Lurpon Tuesday (6/2). We are doing the long lupron/luteal lupron protocol. I would love to have some cycle buddies!

Hello ladies, well I'm getting close to my beta!!! I'm debating whether to test or not!!! UGh the suspense is killing me!!! So last night my dh gave me my progesterone injection and omg i am in sooo much pain today!!! I can barley walk... my muscles are getting sooo sore after all these injections in them!!!

AFM - I have another HSG on 8th which is when my RE will decide when to start with Lupron.  This time I have decided to be on bed rest after the procedure.  Eat a pineapple core a day, eat brazil nuts, yams, anything for implantation :)

I m having little side effect of BCP i.e. tired/achy leg and feet and loss of " taste." Anyone else have/had this?? Rest is fine with me now except lots of things going on my mind about IVF :) that's natural.

Sorry for not updating sooner and thank you so much for the words of concern. I really needed them and it is nice to have people who care.  (Long story).  Anyway, I have started my AF on the 3rd and I will talk to the RE on the 9th.  My husband and I are both in agree we want to try again so I think we are going to give it one more chance.  I know we would try until the banks ran out of money if we could, but we can't.  Plus, I just took a $13K a year pay cut so that really hurts!  Anyway, I will continue to say if it is the Lords will then it will work this time around.

Transfered day 5 full blastocyst embryo today. We still have 4 growing and we hope to get 1 or 2 to freeze but they need to be full blastocyst before freezing.

Didn't think I would be emotional this time but offcourse I shed a little tear when I saw the embryo on the screen.

The doc advised that the chances of it working is around 40% but if you are one of the women that get more than one embryo to blsatocyst stage it goes up to 45%. They are only numbers but 45 sounds better than 40.

Day 4 post ER and we still have 7 eggs that is going strong. Transfer is tomorrow so we will see what we end up with.

rachjas0623:  Congratulations!!!!!  We're in the 2ww. now. :)))))  Hurray for the frosties*** that made it!!!  :)  I just updated bc it seemed that everyone was wandering w/o you around.  It is up to each of us to update each day depending on who comes on first, though, remember?!  That's what we all agreed to in the beginning.  I just noticed noone was doing it....I had time....sO....I did it.  It was no bother.  It kept me busy.  ;)  Glad all went well, except for the bckwrd nurse.  *<%-/  Happy to see you back!!!!!!!

Muse - here is my update.  AF was late, she was due on Tuesday but she finally showed up yesterday (7/3).  I go to the RE tomorrow morning 7/5 for bloodwork & also starting BCP's tomorrow for 23 days.  Tentatively starting stims on 7/31 (my b-day) and ER should be week of 8/10.  As things progress I will keep you posted.

Rach - so glad to hear things went well.  To have 3 frozen is incredible.  After 2 cycles we only had 1 freeze so I am hoping this cycle we will get at least 1 more.  

Mamom, Kibbles & Help4Baby - sounds like we are only days apart in our cycles.  I'm so glad to have a few of us going through the same things at the same time.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Round 3 for us is the charm.  I'm not prepared for another disappointment.

Sry I have been missing. Relaxing as much as possible. Here's a quick update. Transfer went well...it was kind of silly at one point...My RE kept saying "everything looks backward!" Come to find out... after a few mintues... the nurse who was doing the ultrasound had the wand backwards! lol. After that got situated.. all went fine!

Anyway, we transferred 2 blasts (both 1.0 --highest grade)!!! They are beautiful! I started crying when they showed me the picture. They were also able to freeze 2 other blasts yesterday and I just got a call from them today that another one made it to freeze today! So, I have a total of 3!!

Beta is Friday morning at a local lab. Last time I used this lab, I got the call from my clinic mid-afternoon. So, one week from today!

Everyone- I am thinking of all you no matter where you are in your journeys. I want to thank you all for your continuing support, prayer and well wishes!!!

I will try to do personals tmw! I am thinking of all of you! A_Muse.. thanks for updating.. I just thinks it's an easy way to keep up with everyone!

Hi ladies

Your cycles sound tough with all those injections. This time I only had to inject once a day for 14 days or so except the extra booster shots they wanted me to do aswell to get the eggs more mature.

When I had my transfer done last year the doc told me to go about my life as usual. He said go for a run, have sex do what ever you like except hot baths, sauna and all that. I admit I sat on my bum for almost 2 days. This time I can't. My boy will keep my busy and my husband has to work so I hope it will be ok.

I am excited. I hope there will be lots of BFP! Bring it on....

anetski:  Well I'm glad to know u had cramping and it was a successful ivf, I have been having cramping all day today and have been kinda depressed about it... I kinda feel like my cramping feels like  my period cramping.  I just keep thinking it would be way to soon to get my period but it's hard to stay positive feeling like this.

When should you stay on bedrest after a 3 day transfer? Doesn't implantation occur around the 5th day?  I know rxy had a 5 day transfer and had to stay on bedrest for two days, but what about day 3 transfers?  Was anyone told to rest for a few days after their 3 day transfer?
Welcome to the newcomers:)  This site is really great:)  Stressed118- I have had several retrievals and the worst part for me is getting the IV put in.  Other than that, you may have tenderness in your belly area from all of the eggs on the day of the retrieval and you will probably feel very bloated.  It is very quick and they will be able to tell you right away how many eggs they get.  You will probably have to start progesterone in oil injections the night of the retrieval and you take one every night.  I hate these IM shots but I always ice my butt for a while and I hardly feel a thing:)  The day after the ER, they should call you to tell you how many have fertilized and they should keep you updated every day on the progress of your embryos.  I am doing my fourth IVF this month.  I start stims next Thursday.  Good luck and be sure to keep in touch:)

anetski- I was told by my doctor that the BCP will help keep any cysts from forming on your ovaries, and it also keeps you from ovulating until you begin lupron.  BTW I got a call saying that I had 8 eggs that were able to be frozen.

I am doing my IVF this month, i have started Lupron and have been on it for just over a week. I will start my stimulating meds this weekend. Not looking forward to doing three needles a day but you do what you gotta do i guess :) I will have the extraction on the 15-17th of July can anyone share experience of extraction? I know that they are not fully putting me out so i was just wanting to know what I can expect. I should be going through the transfer on the 20-22 and I am so excited and nervous all at the same time. i know some of you are going though the same thing or just had transfers so baby dust to you all....:)

For my first IVF which was succesful I had cramping all the time. It is very normal.

HI all

I have noticed you are all taking birth control pills before starting ivf. What is the reason for that. I would be interested to see how the procedures difer.

This is how mine works:

day 21 of cycle start Lupron or in my case Synaral nasal spray to lower the estrogen level to keep me from ovulatinag.
After Af has started or a few days before depending on cycle lenght they take bloods and if hormone levels are where they want them they start you on Hormone injections (in my case Gonal F 112.5 units).
I did those injections for almost 2 weeks this time with a few booster Pregnol injections as well. Except the Dr lowered the Gonal F to 75 units for the last 3-4 days.
I probably had 4 blood tests while on the gonal f and 2 ultra sound scans.
I triggered 36 hours before egg collection. The day after I am on vaginal pessaries for 15 days.

Is above very different to yours?
