Thanks, It was a very big surprise to find out that I was pregnant!! Actually, when we had the surgery I wasn't very optimistic about things because of the fact that there was 7 years between my daughter and my son. I was thinking that we would have the surgery and then we wouldn't get pregnant until many years down the road or maybe even never. So everything is great now. Hoping it stays this way.
Blessings
Patty
Patty, that is a very inspiring story. I got a lump in my throat just reading it. Thanks for sharing and good luck with your pg!!
Just wanted to correct myself.. we drove to kentucky on the 14th and had surgery on the 15, drove home on the 16.
Hello, My name is Patty, I'm 35 and just like you recently got married to a man who doesn't have any children of his own. I had gotten my tubes tied in 1997 after my son. I also have a daughter who is now 17, my son will be 10 in August. So I met my new husband 3 years ago and he wants biological children too. So March 15, 2007 we drove from Ohio to Kentucky to a doctor who did an excellent job at reversing my tubes. After the surgery I had to wait a couple weeks and then we were allowed trying. Since then I have recently found out that I'm pregnant. Now in my 7th week and everything seems to be going great. And I might add I wasn't that fertile before or something was wrong with my ex-husband because there is 7 years unplanned between my daughter and son. I'm not sure but I know we tried like heck to have them closer and it didn't work. My new husband and I wasn't really even trying so hard this time, but wasn't trying to prevent anything either.
p.s if you would like more information on the doctor, the procedure, cost or anything, please let me know.
Best Wishes!!
Patty
I am 30, I was young when I had my tubes tied (23). I knew after about 6 months that it was a mistake but I didn't know about reversal until recently. Good luck
I'm 36 and have been ttc for almost two years now. I did get pg from insemination (IUI) but it ended up being ectopic. I just had second IUI on 15 May but the follicles were on the side without a tube, so I don't really think it will work.
I've had laparoscopy twice. Once to remove some fibroids and once to remove my right tube. For me it wasn't bad. I had it done on Friday and was back to work on Monday. Small scar in the belly button, one just south of there and two tiny ones on each side. Best of luck to you. I hope it all works out for you!!
Hi there! I had a reversal in June of 06, so almost 1 year ago. The surgery is not bad really. The next day I was driving my kids to camp and stuff. You are sore but that is to be expected. My procedure did work, but I have not had any successful pregnancies. I got PG in November miscarried in Dec, got PG in Feb miscarried in March, then I got PG in april and had a ruptured etopic last week. I know that is not what you want to hear but at least it can work. This past time my Dr asked me why I didn't try IVF, but it is way more expensive and not guaranteed. Good luck to you and if you have any more question feel free to ask.
Ivf is sooo much more expensive..... can I ask all your ages , I was always very fertile b4 my tubal i can only hope for the best!

I don't have any experience in this area to share with you, but I do have a question. Is it an option to skip the surgery and go straight to IVF? If so did you consider this? I hope you don't mind me intruding. I'm just curious.
