Unsuccessful first IUI

Hi there! I had my first IUI on July 16th and tested negative on a pregnancy blood test on July 30th......Needless to say I am still very depressed and frustrated. My doc had put me on duphaston after IUI for 14 days which i stopped taking after the negative pregnancy test. Im waiting for my periods to start but all im having is this dark brown almost blackish discharge for the last 2 n a half days. As per my usual cycle my periods should have started on Aug 1. So is this happening because I was taking Duphaston? How long will it take for my normal periods to start?
Thanks

I got pregnant with my 3 year old on my 4th IUI, and on my 3rd IUI with my 6 month old.  Good luck!

I am pregnant again after my 6th IUI.  (I did get pregnant on an earlier IUI, but lost it).

Just saw a heartbeat yesterday.  Hoping this one will be fine.

Don't give up too easily.  I have read try 3 IUI before moving onto something else.

Best wishes

Oh I know exactly what u r going thru!! We've been trying for a year n a half, apparently nothing wrong with me or hubby but I've never conceived even once :( I also had the HSG which was clear. At times I almost wish there WAS something wrong so that I know what im dealing with.....this "unexplained infertility" thing is hard to accept!

I was soooo hopeful that the IUI would work :(.......anyhow my periods started properly last evening so i guess we're back to square one!

Btw how many IUIs should one have before moving on to other options?

I had my first IUI after unsuccessful Clomid+Ovidrel+Timed intercourse... this is day 10 post IUI and my home pregnancy test showed a BFN. Ugh, I am so emotionally exhausted!!! RIght now I don't even have any symptomps for me to believe that this BFN could somehow be wrong so I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant. BTW, I did the HSG test prior to IUI and the doc said my tubes are fine. So why in the world am I not getting prenant?!?!?! I'm 33 and my hunband is 29! I'm so frustrated, I want to SCREAM! :(
