What are my chances of being pregnant so soon after a miscarriage?

Hi, my name is Danielle. I miscarried on Feb. 15th I had a Chemical Pregnancy.. I stopped bleeding exactly one week after the miscarriage and had unprotected sex that weekend along w/ several other times since then.  People have been telling me its very easy to get pregnant after a miscarriage so My question to all of you is.. would it be possible that I could conceive already, even w/ the miscarriage so frequent?? I went to the ER the night I miscarried and the clinic I go to is closed on Fridays so they told me to come in Monday just to make sure and get checked out.  They confirmed the miscarriage, and took my hcg levels.. which had already gone down to a 5.. so is this information correct about being able to get pregnant this soon or is it not even a possibility.. I would love to hear from all of you.. please give me some advice.. I'm very anxious and don't really know what to think..

I too had a miscarriage on the 30th of Jan 2013. Went in the day befitted for my first appt at 6 else but had started spotting that morning so they did u/s to make sure everything was ok. Had to do transvaginal cuz they couldn't find baby on abdominal u/s. Found the baby, and said they.could see what looked like the flicker of a heartbeat. Just in case they said no sex for two weeks. The following day the bleeing got worse . Went to er, and clocked my levela they had dropped from 127 to 78. 3 days later 22 then 1. I bleed for a week so we started having unprotected sex as soon as it stopped and the doc said I had passed everything. According to ov charts, if the bleeding during the m/c is counted as period then I o'd on the 16 and we ended up having sex there times when I was fertile. Is it possible to be having symptoms this early? Cuz I am experiencing heartburn, constipating, bloating and what I think is heightened sense of smell. or maybe this is all in my head! 4 more days until my period is due! I think I might wait an extra week, cuz I don't wanna get too excited or let down, whichever way it.goes.... Baby dust to all! :)

Chances ar slim with u doing a dnc..... it takes time to build the lining back up... i can happen but u would need mor than a week for u to know.  GL

Hi my name is tia I had a miscarriage on the 30 th of january 2013 and I did have an appointment on the 29th of january had a scan that was ment to be my 12week dating scan and they told me my baby died at 8weeks butthey baby was still inside me for 4weeks then they gave me the tablet on they same day to stop my pregnacy hormones then I went back on the 31st they checked to see if the baby was still their and it was so they gave me virginal tablets to start the miscarriage off and went home the next day and its been nearly 4weeks since I had it and I went back 14th of febuary just for a check up and they scanned me just to see if everythink was gone and their was still some of it left then I had chosen to have a opp in my virgin and that was 15th of febuary its been a week and I've been having unsafe sex and now I'm getting pain in my lower stomach I've started to fell sick again and I've got heartbun and feel tired do you think I'm pregnant again I've had sex loads of times I haven't had my period yet what do you guys think please email me on ***@**** thanks no negative commons

hi danielle,  i had a MC and d and c feb 12th 2008 and i am now almost 7 weeks pregnant.  i am kind of confused by your question.  when do you think you became preg, back in feb or now?

IT is possible, as i think i am going through the same thing now, i finished having a miscarriage on the 5th June and i took a clearblue digital pregnancy test Saturday and it said pregnant. I'm pretty sure it's not my hormones from my last pregnancy as during m/c i had blood test done and levels were 200 and then had another 3 days later and they were already down to 42, so they went down very quick! I cant get an appointment at the doctors till Friday and it's Monday :( so i'm just waiting and hoping that i am!! Good luck everyone! It is possible!

i was just recently in the same situation as yourself i miscarried 3rd feb i was only about 6 weeks gone i bled for one week and then i started to try again to conceive as i had heard that it was easy as you are more fertile after a miscarriage. I started having symptoms about two weeks after i had stopped bleeding which isnt unusual for me as i knew that i felt different almost tsraight away with the first pregnancy i went to the doctors on 25th feb and asked for a blood test to be taken to monitor my hcg levels and it came back as one hcg which is classed as not p i was still having symptoms though and i went back to doctors to get another blood test done and it was 205 hcg level which meant i was , anyway i am now 13 weeks gone had  a scan all is fine they worked it out that i had conceived only a couple of weeks after my miscarriage so keep trying and it will happen again for you, all the best, andrea

It is definitely possible.  It happened to me and many other women on this forum.  Although each woman is different, I always started ovulating immediately following all my m/c.  You could be pregnant, especially if you've been having sex.  Good luck

Thank all of you for the advice.. so should I wait till my six weeks is up to take the hpt .. providing i dnt start?? i have so many mixed feelings about all this bc im terrified of another miscarriage..

Hi Danielle.You can ovulate 2 wks after a m/c, there have been lots of woman on here who have got pg at this time.
Looking at when you m/c, on the 15th Feb and if you ovulated 2wks after you may not get a possitive for another wk? All depends on when you O'd really.
But yes, you could/can get pg this soon after and m/c.

I waited for my first AF to come first before ttc again, my last m/c was at 11wks and my levels took just over 3wk to come down. I am now almost 9wks pg.

My sister in law had a miscarriage and found out she was pg again well within the month, so yes it certainly is possible. Good luck to you.
