What if you miss more periods every year and they get heavier or lighter?

Okay so for the past 3 years I keep missing more periods and I am only 21.
My Grandmother and Aunt had their reproductive organs removed before they were 30. My mother was about 37 when her's was removed because of the hormones caused her to have seizures when she had her period only after the blood clot in her brain from the birth control shot.

Now last year I skipped 5 periods and not all at the same time. This year I have skipped 7 and not all at the same time. Last month it spotted for a day and stopped. I usually have very heavy flows that bring server constipation and drain me completely for the first 2 days.

Yesterday I started to spot, I did not know what to expect. Then I wake up today and it gushes out of me. Then I have a small nose bleed to add to that.

Now I know of 3 conditions on my mother's side. PCOS, endometriosis and Ovarian Cancer. I haven't had the time right now to go up to a free clinic and won't be able to et an appointment until February. Dose anyone know what might be going on?

Thank you for posting. We are trying to get pregnant. My grandmother and Aunt have had their's removed before 30. It is scary and I hope I can get some answers.

It does sound like PCOS.  And maybe endometriosis as well.  I am 32 and had many of the same symptoms that you've described.  Both my mom and my sister went through menopause in their 30's!  We've been trying to get pregnant for six years, so this is extra worrisome for me!  I was diagnosed with both PCOS and Endometriosis.  Had surgery for the endo two years ago.  Just did an IVF cycle this month and am waiting on the results (will have our blood pregnancy test tomorrow!!).  I only get about 3 periods a year on average.  I'm glad you have an appointment - even if it's not until January.  It will really set your mind at ease, I think.  Good luck!

Thank you so much. It dose look like it. I can't get an appointment until after January because it is at the free clinic and they are booked up the first month of the year. I will hopefully be getting an appointment soon.

I am not a doctor, but all the symptoms you described sound like PCOS. It is very hereditary so if it is in your family than your chances of getting it are higher. I don't know the symptoms of endometriosis or Ovarian Cancer but if you have a history of all these in your family, you should definitely get to the doctor as soon as possible to find out for sure what is causing this. Good luck!

Also I do have acne that refuses to go away. Extra oiliness all over for the most part and strong body orders.
