Why EWCM but cervix not too high or soft?

I posted something about OV yesterday..thinking my cervix was nice and high but after checking yet again later in day..it was a little high I guess but did not feel particurarily soft. I had a little blood on tissue when I wiped 3 days ago..and had tiny bit of EWCM that day, the first I've noticed this month and then a little more the next day and lots yesterday..we did bd last night.
I guess one shouldn't rely on cervix position as I'm starting to think it's fairly hard to tell the changes. I'm a little excited b/c EWCM was perfect last night..oh well..I know I'm documenting too much way to early on..and I'm probably boring people here..Just checking in :) (I did read other posts including the reply to mine, so I know EWCM can just be precursor to OV..I did have mild crampiness yesterday though before evening.
wondering how pertykitty is doing w/TTC?
she followed my antics last month which just resulted in 45 day long cycle..I was confused b/c I had a bad respitory virus..so feeling tired and stuff led me to believe, plus long cycle..

I also have been checking my cervix because my periods are so irregular.  I only started checking it in the last couple of weeks since my period, but have found that my cervix was high and hard when I first began checking.  Within the last week or so, it's moved very high (to where I almost cannot reach it) and become soft and it's stayed high and soft.  I was wondering if any of you might know how long your cervix would stay high and soft...more than a week? Or would that maybe be a symptom of pregnancy? I know this is a very unreliable technique, but also my CM has been gone for a couple of weeks now and a creamy white up near my cervix...srry if TMI.  Also, I was getting some week and shaky spells every morning just about for the last two weeks or so, along with being more tired than normal, a bit hungrier, my breasts are slightly sore and I'm slightly crampy as well.  I took four HPT's and they all have shown a line sooooo light that I feel as though I'm really straining to see it there.  Any advice or knowledge is appreciated!

I read it's supposed to go high and soft and is called the "Os" or some such thing. But I also read that for many women the change is hard to detect and it's best to stick with monitoring the changes in cervical fluid.

Hi sorry to ask another question but what position should CP be in when you are ovulating? I'm day 14 of my cycle and wonder if it should be high or low? thanks

CP can be hard to figure all by itself. They say it's only 38% accurate for pinpointing o. The main thing w/cp is check at the same time ea day. It will change throughout the day. When fertility peaks it will feel like the tip of your nose a lot of the time and will stay that way for a few days. That's in most cases at least. I find most cases rarely apply to me, lol.
