birth control pill vs ovarian drilling

My ob/gyn told me I needed to choose between bc pill and ovarian drilling surgery to reduce the cysts on my ovaries. I chose to start with the pill. Did I make the right choice? I am 37, had 3 mc, 1 DD, and 1 ectopic all conceived on clomid.

My pcos is not insulin resistant. My fasting blood sugar was 71. Metformin is not an option.  :-)

Hi,
I guess you have made the right choice. Hormonal treatment in the form of birth control pills is the preferred treatment for reducing ovarian cysts. The pills will show there effects within 2 to 3 months. Ovarian drilling is a surgical procedure that can be associated with complications like adhesions. Hope this helps.
