bladder infection

I just spoke with the nurse...looks like it is now a bladder infection.  She said ocassionally that happens from the catheter.  I am so bummed.  I am getting a perscription.  Hope this doesn't affect my embies on Sunday!  If any of you plan on an ER tell them you don't want to use a catherter and you will pee just before the surgery.

I am on antibiotics 2X day until my transfer as well.  I was speaking about the bladder infection hurting the embryo after trnasfer.  I think it willl be gone by Sunday, I hope.   My ER was at 9:00 as well and had nothing to drink after 12:00am but they loaded me with fluids.  So, what is done is done but I agree... a warning would have been nice!

Nice of them to warn you first. :)  I don't think the antibiotics will hurt.  I have to take antibiotics anyway the day of the ER all the way through the first day of the transfer.  I think I didn't have a catheter b/c my retrieval was a 9am and I couldn't drink anything after midnight the night before so there was nothing there to pee out.

oohh!  Sorry to hear that.  Isn't this your second IVF?  Did they catherize you the first time?  Maybe they new they were going to give you a lot of fluids or something.  Sorry about the infection.
