bleeding 11 days after embryo transfer in ivf

hi everyone..i'm new here..had IVF with ICSI treatment and due for blood (pregnancy test) 3 days from now..last night i had spotting, dark brown black blood at first,then light brown/pink...had also a thread-like blood clot in evening..im so worried coz i even have mentrual like pain..cramping and bloated stomach..i cried all day thinking that i failed with the treatment..my DH and i really wanted a baby and i'm still not losin' hope...fingers crossed for my pregnancy test 3 days from now..hope bleeding/spotting will stop soon...are there someone here who got spotting/bleeding but ended with a BFP? hoping for response and advices..thank in advance and baby dust to all,!!!

This is my 3rd ivf cycle the first one was maid it the 2nd didn't my hcg was not multiplying as it sould of i did loos that pregnancy it was very hard to let go too. Im on my 3rd one now. I noticed my body dose need more than the 24 hour period the Dr asks us to do in bed rest. It was my 9th day and i got out of bed and began to do the normal routine except no carrying more than 10 pounds said Dr,at day 9 i got out of bed went to walmart and some how i did sometin wrong that same night i began to spot so i went back to bed and im at day 11 and spoting has stopped. I plan on taking it easy till 3 months that are the risk month's.not everyones body is the same do remember that.i do feel my body takes longer for embryos to inplant so i do spend my first 9 days in bed and i have had positive results.except the one with the low hcg but dr said something was wrong with embryos. 1st bach was fresh i got a baby 2nd bach frozen i got low hcg lost it 3rd bach fresh and watting on pg confirmation. I plan spending lots of time in bed, light duty.

I'm hoping for some positive feedback bec. This ivf is very stressful. I had 3 csections long ago.my youngest is 14, I'm now with someone new and were trying for one together. This is my first round of ivf and I'm on my 11th day before beta test. I just noticed a very very pale pink blood and I know my cycle is due in two days also. Should I be worried and plan for the negative result now? :(

Hi Tina,  I had 2 fresh embryos transferred, it will be 2 weeks tomorrow, this was my first attempt at IVF.  I started bleeding on day 9.  I have had some cramping.  I also have been taking progesterone and I understand your frustrations with it also.  I try to use the progesterone around lunch time and try to sit down for at least 20 minutes if I can.  Im hoping that from what I heard is that you can have some bleeding and it is normal and still get a positive.  Good luck to you.

Hi, today is the 10th day after my embryo transfer, and I just started bleeding- it's really red. I have 2 embryos, but the doctor had said that one is more mature than the other. Do you think I lost the other one? I'm supposed to have my ultrasound to see if I'm pregnant on Sunday, I'm so scared that somehting is screwed up, because I  also started having some pain as well on my right side. I've been taking progesterone, but I don't even know if that's really working well.I have long days at work, and although, I wake up about 2 hours earlier before work to put them in, they always seem to slide out during the day. I'm so scared,...It was already a nightmare to go through the IVF, don't know if I can go through it again anytime soon....had so many complications and alot of pain....

Hello...I'm on day 11 after my first IVF embro transfer and I have been having some cramping and some bleeding since day 10 and I am just freaking out. I can't eat nor sleep waiting for my doctors office to open this morning.  I have spent most of my night and morning praying and checking..I truly need to know what maybe going on with my babies.  Any insite will be so helpful at this time.

wow, nice to hear that,!!! CONGRATULATIONS...

just now i still have that spotting and thanks God it's not like the other day & yesterday which i thought my period is coming so i really cried all day...

i don't want also to have HPT, i'll just wait thursday for my beta, or if bleeding again today, perhaps i can have an early beta test tonight as what the clinic adviced...

Hi, i had all the same symptons as u, the light bleeding , the cramping etc... sleepless nights etc.. all worked out  well . IVF and ICIS worked, 6 wks pregnant and happy. So relax, stay calm and everything will work itself out. Can also be implantation bleeding, so thats good news, stay postive and u will be fine, my doc prescribed Cylokrapon to stop the bleeding during day 12- 15, it worked.

I didnt do the HP test, waited for by blood test and was thrilled with my result, BFP...

Thank u so much,!!! yeah, i just need to pray..fingers crossed...told my DH that if i'm still bleeding/spotting 'til today,perhaps i'll go for a beta PT tonight since he's working on daytime...i hope bleeding stops so i can have a test on exact due date of PT w/c is 2 days from now...Hope to have BFP result,!!!

I have been having cramps since the day of transfer. I had slight bleeding yesterday light pinkish. It's normal, just relax. You can go for beta anytime and it will be accurate.

My wife had the same with her 1st IVF....and a BFP...in fact, a now 19 month old precious little girl! There's no reason to think the PT would not be accurate.  Stay positive...prayers headed you way!!

wow,nice to hear that,!!! it gives me some sort of good vibes, thanks a lot,!!! i called up the clinic this afternoon and nurse said i can have pregnancy test anytime now (12 days post transfer) just to confirm so if the result is positive,i can have precautions since i'm bleeding for 2 days now...do u think the result would be accurate?
whew,!!! this 2WW is drivin' me crazy...even can't sleep at night thinking of all this..kinda stressful...i just hope and pray that i'll got BFP...fingers crossed...

cramping is incredibly common in early pregnancy and up to 1/3 of healthy pregnancies involve some bleeding or spotting in the first trimester.
