i asked the dr how long the gel has been out and he said for about 7 or 8 months... it is the same as the little pill only in gel form but at a lower dosage. and it is use according to the persons age and how thin the lining is ect... he said most drs perfer the pill... he said he has just started using the gel only on a few patients...

yeah, i had said to the dr. how am i suppose to put this pill and he stopped me and said what pill, i prescribed you gel... i told him i didthink there was any other form and he said there is different forms used for different reasons and because my lining needs a boost he wants me to use the gel... he said my lining is 7 and he wants it at 8 so maybe that is why it wasnt offered to you... preferrence of the dr... i am going this morning to see whats up today, blood and us ... have a great day

well i did get the call back... good thing i did wait to hear... the dr stated that the pharmacy gave me the incorrect medication... they were suppose to give me a gel to incert into the vjj and he stated that it is a good thing i didnt move forward to take that pill because due to me having a sensitive stomach due to surgery that i had it would have been to much... so he called the pharmacy and explain that the script said vjj insertion and not oral and the pharm agreed but they didnt have it in and would have to order it... so he called another pharm and they had it and i took my first dose at 11:30 and the next is 6:30 pm...i will be doing my next iui hopefully next week at some point.as long every thing goes well yesterday i had 7 follicales on my left and 9 on the right and that was only 6 days of gonal so he said i am right on track....
thank you for your input it was very helpful...do u mind if i add you as a friend

Maybe you could take it orally until you hear back?  I am just hoping your lining has continued to thicken even without the use of the estrogen, and that you are able to move forward with your transfer.   I just would hate for them to have to postpone things because your lining is still thin.  I have had that happen, and it sukks.  Let me know what you find out...:)

lol...lord know the fertility issues are strange in some ways... the pharmacy was of no help to me and i called the dr office and left 2 messages... from what i have read this pill is for oral only, although i know not everything on the internet is correct... i would have never thought this oral pill would dis-solve is other places of the body. my boyfriend was laughing and telling me maybe i grew a throat with teeth there and the dr didnt tell me.... lol men have the easy part in this... i thank you for the replies and the reassuance...since i have the messages in to the dr. i think i have to wait because they are to tell me if i was suppose to start this after review of the blood work... this is a crazy journey, i just hope this will pay off soon. i want a baby.... i wish you the best of luke getting preg....
thank you again

You just use the oral ones vaginally.  There is no vaginal type.  Just insert as far up as you can.  Welcome to the fertility world, were strange things are required.  I always joke when using the estrogen vaginally, that i feel like a smurf!

i understand but there is one more issue , the orders state vaginal and i got oral tablets so i called the pharmacy and they told me that it said vaginal .... so i need to find out who needs to correct this...they were suppose to let me know if they wanted me to start taken but the girl at the office never mentioned anything about it and the prescription is somewhat incorrect... it is oral tablets and the instructions stated insert in to the vagina... i dont think i want to do that...lol
i will call first thing in the morning
i called the pharmacy and explained and said to her where am i suppose to insert mouth or crotch and she started laughing... lol

I would start it right away.  You want your lining to grow as much as it can before your u/s on Friday.  That's what estrogen does.  So, yep, start taking it : )
