hcg confusion

Hi I wanted to know what could have caused me to have positive home pregnancy tests but get to the doctor and they are negative and why was my hcg level 2 and when I checked a week later it was still 2.

Amy's right, anything under 5 is negative, so a 2 means not pregnant (in other words, you can have a small amount of HCG in your system without being pregnant). As for what could have caused teh positive home test, like Amy said it could have been an evaporation line, or it could have been a chemical pregnancy, where the implantation process started but didn't complete.

Thank you both but I think the implantation process didnt complete also just wanted some other opnions

Anythin under 5 is considered not pregnant, I dont know the reason why you had a false positive possibly a dodgy test or you mistook the evaperation line as a positive??
