iVF - 10 days post transfer bleeding

Hey all -

Wondering if anyone has any guidance.  This is my first IVF, I had one egg implanted (day 5 transfer) ten days ago.  A couple of days ago I woke to a little blood (spotting) and througout the day had barely there spotting (only when I wiped).  The two following days I barely had anything but sometimes a light pink wipe.  I took an test saturday morning first thing but negative.  My blood test is tomorrow moring and I am of course stressed out.  Can this be implantation bleeding?  I would think that should happen soon after transfer not ten days later.  I figure the pregnacy test will be negative anyhow since the blood test is tomorrow.  This has been the only bleeding I have had so far in the 2ww.

Any advice or situations you have all gone through?

I am so sorry to hear about your last IVF, I miscarried last July after my first FET. Ijust completed my 2nd, and am in my 2ww.  Just an FYI... Most articles that I have read on how many IVF's a person should do, show statistical rates that people who do IVF's 4 times have the best rate of sucess.  I hate to see you give up on your dream, and wanted to share the information I have found.  Best wishes to you!

Sorry Ivy that really *****!  Mine didnt work either, I found out yesterday.  I have one more transfer for this round, I dont have high hopes!

I did my Transfer on the 13th of February.  It was day 5.  In Peru I paid 4000.00 dollars plus the cost of some of the appointments here.  As of today  I have been bleeding since Sunday.  I am not doing IVF again.  If you have the time and money.  I have decided not to go back.  I wish you all the luck in the world if you have any questions about Peru.  Please feel free to ask.

When did you transfer?  was it a day 3 or day 5?  Are the Peru prices that much cheaper, ours cost 15K but that is with a warranty, if we do it again its 10K.  one more time and we are done, we cant afford 20k.
So you have another blood test tomorrow then?  I have my final one, if it doesnt go up tomorrow 8.2 I am basically done with this cycle and we are starting over again!
My husband has Cystic Fibrosis so this is the only way we will be able to have children.  Next step will be adoption but with him having a medical issue it may be tough.  THat is why I really need this to work for us.

Well I have PCOS so I thought that I wouldnt have any problems once they put them in my uterus.  I was wrong too.  I dont have any left we implanted 3 this time.  I had one blood test on Saturday.  I have another next Saturday.  But at this point I dont believe that it worked.  I am currently in Peru doing the IVF due to the outrageous pricing in the states.  My husband works here for now.  This is the last time I wont go through this a third time.  Maybe adoption is next I am only 28 everyone says your so young but my husband and I never  ever had one accident the entire time we have been married.  Never used protection either so I figured that if it was going to happen naturally it would have by now.  I have to go back Wed and Friday for more progesterone shots but I am going to try and talk to my Dr  because if i am not pregnant and wont be I surely dont want anymore shots it the butt. I hope that things work out for you the second time.

Sorry to hear that, I thoiught I would be one of those people with no problems and it would work right away, boy was I wrong!!!!!
So do you have anything in reserve?  we have one but after that we are going to try the cycle one more time and then we are done.  we are on a warrenty program now and will get reimbursed, the second time all the expense is ours.  Its just so dang frustrating.

Is your doctors office having you retake the blood testa?  when did you get your 6.24 ruling?

Mine was 6.24 i think.  I have taken 4 HPT and all neg.... I am not very optomisitc though this is my second time for IVF and it didnt take the last time either.  I am really sad we have been trying for almost 8 years and nothing....

I had my test this morning, bad i was at 8.2 or something like that for my blood test, not a good sign.  They are having me continue my progesterone through wed and retest but they dont seem optomistic.

Is this your first IVF?

Hello Heather.  My Name is Ivy and I am going through the same thing.  I started bleeding yesterday but its light more than spotting but less than like day 2 of your Period.  I totally understand what your going through.  My Dr made me start taking progesterone shots.  When are you do to have your blood test?   Mine is Saturday..... Hey, well I tested today and only had 8.2 as my Beta/HCG.  they are having me continue the pregestorne for two more nights and test again on wed morning.  They dont sound to optimistic though.

We have one more egg frozen so hopefully we can transfer that succesfully in the next few months. If not back to the drawing board:(

Hey nounou40 thanks for answering.  were you bleeding a lot or just a little.  three days ago (TMI i know) it was all day light spoting but nothing on the underwear, yesterday barely anything and then today a little more.  can implantation take place this long after the transfer?

Hi Heather,

Don't panic! I had the same situation as yours and started spotting before my blood test was due. I took a HPT and it was negative and assumed that my AF on the way. But the next day I got BFP. My doctor believed that it was implantation blooding. Good luck with you test tomorrow.
