ivf

This is the first time I am posting......I have read numerous entries and thank you all for sharing.  It has helped me through this time.  I just had my transfer on 10/10.  Two 7-8 cell embryos. Felt mild cramping and experienced mood swings since then.  This is my 2nd ivf round.  I feel like I am getting AF and do not want to go for my test on 10/22 because i think i know the result is negative.  I've lost hope !  I've been going thru iui's and ivf for almost 3 yrs now.  1 preg resulted in a mis.  Any ideas out there as to how to regain some hope??? I hate unexplained infertility so much!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello,

Cramping on the day of the transfer and shortly after is I THINK normal!  Stay positive!! For me, I had pre menstrual cramping and side effects one week after transfer and just knew , well" felt", it didn't work.  I hope everything works out for you and you get the result you are hoping for. Hang in there and keep me posted!  Best wishes!

Hey there.....

Thanks for feedback.  I knew what my outcome would be once I started cramping and feeling lower back pains one week after my transfer.  Lower back "cramps"  is a def.  sign for me for my fabulous period!  Not only the cramps, but major crying and sadness usually means my period for me too.  Needless to say, my "friend "started last night.  It sucks because I have to go for my blood test 2moro morning  even though I know the answer.  I actually feel much better emotionally because the massive amount of hormones " those crazy progesterone hormones" are leaving my system.  Thank goodness for some relief.  I have done significant research and plan on having a lengthy converstaion with my doc about my history and future treatment path.  I am eager to start another cycle.....I want a day 5 transfer this time!

Anyhow, best wishes to you!  There is a light at the end of the tunnel.....just a matter of time!

Hello -

I know how you feel. I had my ivf transfer on 10.13 using donor egg, and though I'm more hopeful this go round knowing what I know about why it didn't work a year ago with my eggs, I'm still scared out of my mind. I go on the 25th for my test and it'll be easy going in for the test - but, it will not be easy answering the phone later that afternoon.  I've gone thru several mood swings - I had tons of cramping the first few days after the transfer, which I still have a lot of tightness and tenderness now but I've convinced myself it's all in my head - my ninnies are a little sore, but not too bad - and since the 3rd day after the transfer, I've felt like I was getting the "dreaded".

I wish you the best of luck, and even though it's easier for me to say, rather than do, try to stay positive.

Hi, I had my transfer this past Monday,  One  blastocyst and one morula.  I am feeling exactly what you are feeling, mild cramps and AF symptoms (especially mood swings).  This is my second time going through ivf,  after several failed iui's.  I test this upcoming Friday and like you, I am afraid of what I think the outcome will be.  Let's try to stay positive, however,  and hope for the best.  I am sure that you will get good news so don't give up hope.
