So ive sbeen on metformin for a littoe over a month 1500mg and prenatal viatmins and im feeling discouraged and I need faih and hope that im not going through this struggle in vain... any success stories out there ??????

I started metformin 2000 mlg on april 11 and started my period 5 days later  and so far my cycle have been 34 days apart when before they were 90+ days apart. My doctor said to let metformin work for at least 6 months before i claimed it didnt work. So you should give the medication more time:)

I am on 2000mg of metformin and it took me 3 months before my menstrual cycle became regular.I have pcos which caused me to not have my menstrual for month's.  But since I've been on the metformin I've been doing really good...it just take a little bit longer sometimes. I've just got done doing ivf and I'm still on metformin through my whole pregnancy.  Goodluck hun!

My doctor has ordered blood work everything came back normal she has said the next step is ordering a hsg exam and from there if things come back ok shill will prescribe chlomid I habe been having irregular period for as long as I remember and I want more then anyyhing in this world to become a mom. Any success stories on taking metforming 1500 mg and conceiving

If metformin and prenatal vitamins have not helped then the next step is to go in for induction of ovulation. This when combined with IUI will give excellent results. Consult your Doctor. Hope this helps.
