pregnancy after an HSG

I just had my HSG done last week (after 19 months of ttc). She said the tubes were clear. I was wondering if anyone here has had this done (I ovulate in the next 2 days so my fingers are crossed). I read somewhere that the chances of getting pregnant after an HSG increase significantly. Does anyone here know anything about this or even had this done and had a better success rate?

I had a HSG test today following an ectopic pregnancy back in February.  The anticipation was worst than the actual test.  Took 4 advil and a vallium beforehand and it wasn't bad at all.  Thankfully, both tubes were open and the radiologist told us to start ttc as so many patients get pregnant within the first couple of months following an HSG test.  Fingers crossed!  Good luck to all of you.....

Hello everyone I am 22 and my husband and I have been trying to concieve for 2 and a half years now. My menses have always been irregular to the point where I just stoped getting them at all. Doc put me on provera been on that for almost a year. I had my hsg done 4/13/11 not too bad during the procedure but horid pains 6 hours after. I had no leakage, or bleeding just very sore for a day or two. all and all my tubes were open although the right tube does not fill properly. My doc told me to ttc a.s.a.p so now Im awaiting and hoping for good news soon. Feeling very excited to see if I become a hsg success story lol. I am so confused about my infertility because my daughter now 4 years old was concieved with irregular menses (she came from a meracle and shock us all lol.... )and now after all the planning we cant seem to get any luck. def hoping for baby dust this month... I've read that so many women became prego in the same month.. Lot's of Baby dust to all!! will keep everyone posted!! Q: did anyone else have there hsg done a day or two before they ovulated.
