I have used them and they do work. Check in how many days you get your cycles and it is written on the kit pack how to calculate days depending on your cycle. After you start don't miss any day to check. Bacause ovulation happens only for one day and you should be there at right time and day. If you have regular periods then it means you ovulated. Prepare a chart and keep track of your days. Hope it helps

I'm with you on this one, i have  regular circle (every 30days) and they are all annovulatory. I go for bloodwork for progestrone every 21 just make sure and my dr always confirmed no O. So you have regular period does not mean you are ovulating.

Just to say i used clomid for five circle and nothing happened. I'm considering some other options now.

What website did you buy the OPK's from online? Any particular brand?
Congrats on conceiving so quickly!

For some women, testing once a day during ovulation will not pick up ovulation because they have such a short peak in their LH surge. This doesn't effect whether they ovulate or not, but it does effect whether they know (based on the OPK) if they are ovulating. When I got close to the middle of my cycle (I ovulate between cd 16 and cd 18, so around cd 12), I would start testing twice a day during the height time in the morning and the height time in the evening. This helped me to locate my LH surge even though it was shorter. This is something that you can try. I purchased a large lot of OPK online, which was much less expensive than buying OPK at a store. I started using OPK the day after af stopped (around cd 5-6 for me) and then increased testing to twice daily around cd 12. I got my LH surge (positive OPK) and conceived the first month of doing this. I wish you the best!

I am having the same trouble. No LH Surge yet and I am using it every month the Clearblue sticks. I have Cervical Mucus at around day 12-14 of my cycle (cycle of 26 days), but still I don't see the LH Surge in the ovulation stick. I will buy the clearblue fertility monitor see if I'll be luckier. Did you do any test to confirm you were not ovulating? Why did the doctor prescribed Clomid?

I am a little confused about something the md here says if you are having a reg period you are ovulating, while I have been told numerous times from other drs. that having a normal period does NOT mean ovulation?

Dear Sandy95 - if you are having regular periods, then you are ovulating and the test is not picking this up. If you are not having regular periods, or any periods, then you are not ovulating. Urine ovulation prediction kits work 90%-95% of the time, but they fail to pick up ovulation in 5%-10% and so you might fall into that category, if your periods are regular.

I am taking Tamoxifen to induce ovulation and have just discovered that i am ovulating on day 23/24 of my cycle. I have wasted lots of ovulation prediction tests testing too early in my cycle. I suggest you test from much later in your cycle.

I used for a couple of months and not even once did I see that I was ovulating. I was frustrated!! I recently bought a clearblue fertility monitor, this is my second month using it and I am quite happy with the results. it shows me atleast 2-3 peak fertility days with a symbol of egg!!

I also have used the OPK's several times and they're not showing that I'm ovulating either!  I don't know what to make of it.  I am just starting Clomid 5-9 this month and I'm curious to see if it will show that I'm ovulating this time. I get more discharge around the time I should be ovulating so I would think that I am but kit doesn't show it!??  I suppose it's possible I ovulate later than average so I'm just missing it altogether.

Good Luck!
