Very short period

My h and I are trying for a baby.. Our fourth:) I've had 3 easy healthy pregnancies before. I am 36 now so things seem different.. I was expecting my period on the 22 of this month but it came on the 21.. Very light not ever a good flow, maybe for like an hour then went back to very light. Today is the third day but there is nothing just a little brown on my pad from overnight.. Is this a sign that I'm not ovulating? I'm getting worried.

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would first recommend that you take a pregnancy test--the light bleeding could be a sign that things are further along than you think!  If you are not pregnant, I would not be too concerned though.  It is possible that you didn't ovulate this one time, but unless this becomes a pattern there is no cause for alarm.  Most women don't ovulate every single time! Don't get too worried--36 is still young!
Good luck!
