family histroy\ovarian cyst

my mom had 5 kids,her mom had 6 kids,my grandma on my dads side had 8 kids. does this mean im very fertle.  also i had my ovary removed in jan 07 due to a cyst,ive had 2 periods both on time,what are my chances of getting pregnant??

oklahomanygirl,
such a strong family history of large families suggests you too are quite fertile.  however, one can develop infertility from non-genetic, i.e. acquired problems. for example, though women can conceive with one ovary just as well as with two ovaries, one fears that scar tissue from the surgery might encase and block your remaining ovary.  if you do not conceive after one year, you should be tested for infertility.  david

Did they do any checks to see tat you are producing eggs? If you are ovulating then there is every chance...
