Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you that up to 90% of miscarriages are caused by an abnormality of the fetus.  Meaning that the baby probably had something wrong such as too many or too few chromosomes.  This is very common and unlikely to happen again.  Your age is working against you somewhat, and I would start a workup right away to help figure out ways to boost your chances of conception.  The first two things I would recommend are:  ovulation predictors (can be purchased at most drug stores--often located near the pregnancy tests) and a semen analysis.  There is one that can be purchased online called Spermcheck that can give you a sperm count, and is a place to start--it doesn't tell you the other parameters such as mobility, morphology, etc.
Speak with your doctor, time is not on your side--but you still have an excellent chance for another child!
Good luck!
