Hi there. I would not be concerned about one irregular episode of bleeding as you just experienced. These are quite common, and particularly since your periods have been regular since stopping the pill, I would simply keep an eye out and make sure this is not a consistant happening and was a one-time event.
Five months of trying after being off the birth control pill is not a long time; infertility is defined as a year of unprotected intercourse.
A reasonable approach would be to see an infertility MD if the irregular bleeding persists, or if you are still not pregnant in another 3-4 months if your periods become regular again. Although the definition of infertility is one year, there is nothing 'etched in stone' about that so if you are not where you want to be after 7-8 months of trying it can't hurt to seed medical advice at that point.
Bloody cervical mucus is what it sounds like to me. That is suppose to be the most fertile cervical mucus there is.
what do you mean? bloody cervical mucus is fertile? i am on day seven of bleeding and it hasn't stopped. does everyone get bloody cervical mucus for days? so i shouldn't freak out and worry?
I just read over your post again and looked at a calendar. I am not sure if I understand it all. You started your cycle on the 2nd. Then you had what you thought to be fertile cervical mucus around the 15th? When did you start the bleeding?
i started again on the 19th
Has anyone had bloody cervical mucus after a miscarrige? I miscarried three weeks ago. My HCG levels are down to 88 and my progesterone is .3 so I haven't ovulated. A couple of days ago I starting having bloody cervical mucus when I wipe - sometimes a significant amount. My OBGYN is not concerned but I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my body.
