I believe we talked before. I would suggest getting a blood test for progesterone somewhere between days 21-25; that will tell you if you ovulated or not. BBTs sometimes do not show ovulation even if you have ovulated, although a flat BBT is suggesting you have not ovulated. As mentioned above, a blood test for progesterone will tell the story. Intercourse every day is a bit excessive; every two days is fine, even for couples with a low sperm count. There are limitations to temperature charting - one big one is that even if temperature charting is showing ovulation, by the time you know for sure the temperature has gone up, it is too late and the fertile time has passed. A more targeted approach might be with urine ovulation predictor kits; you can by these over the counter at the pharmacy. Just by the urine test sticks; the fancy computer that costs $$$ is not necessary. The reason this is better is that you are at peak fertility the day of and the day after your urine first turns positive. If you have intercourse those two days, that is more than adequate and takes a bit of pressure off of a couple wanting to have a baby and having intercourse every night because they feel they have to. Waking up randomly earlier than 6:30AM won't have a huge effect.
My doctors always say every other day (with intercourse)....also, sperm can live around 72 hours so having it every other day is plenty and that should build up his sperm count rather than doing it everyday.
I was like you where I thought we had to do it everyday then my doc said that that is way too much! On clomid, she put me on a "have intercourse day 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20" schedule.
As for the bbt, I can answer-Random earlier or later temps are not going to affect it. Especially if withing an hr or so of normal temp time. I sleep in a little later on weekends and it really doesn't change anything. If I get too little sleep it sure does though. Did you o before you were on the clomid? If so when do you normally o? I was on 1st round of clomid this cycle, but I o'd early. I have seen other posts that said they were later. Of course, if you don't o and that is why the clomid, it can be a gray area.
