Azoospermia - FSH high and LH high

Hi there, I am a 30 years old man and from my semen test i found that there was ZERO spermatozoa on the semen.
From the blood test i found also FSH=22.2 and LH=9.2, so quite high....both of them.

Is this a case where i have 0 chances to have childs?

I will go soon to visit an andrologist at the London Clinic, his name is D. Ralph. I was told is one of the best.

Anyway i would like to know what could be the conseguence of both hormons to be high like that.

thanks

Hi there thanks for the answer.
what is this karyotype test? also what chromosomal abnormalies can i have?

Are these chromosomal abnormalies something that my parents could have had in their family?

My mather and my father do not recall anyone which such problems in the family.

Also i never had mumps, chemotherapy, or trauma to the testicles and not even diseases....so i cannot explain this hormonal disfunctions.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!
I primarily treat female patients, so I am very glad to hear that you are scheduled to see an andrologist.  The elevated values are suggestive of primary testicular failure--this is similar to what we call menopause in women.  For some reason, your testicles are no longer producing spermatozoa.
One test that your andrologist may request is a karyotype.  If you have any chromosomal abnormalities, that can interfere with sperm production.  A history of mumps, chemotherapy, or trauma to the testicles can cause similar problems.
Whether you can father a child will depend upon the cause of the testicular failure, and whether there are any sperm at all present in the testicles.  If there are even a few, they can be harvested and used in ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection).
I hope this information is useful!
Good luck!

hi! dont know if this will help, but i just want to share our experienced. my husband now is 34 yrs old and ht of 6" before he is super skinny when we got married. we have a 11 yrs old daughter now and i had ivf last oct 14 hoping to have another child. what he did was way back 1999 after i gave birth in 1998, he enrolled in a gym to get buff, as you know steroids is very rampant in the gym. if you like to get buff you need to take steroids. He used different kind of steroids....some stano and deca. he get the body he wanted but with a price....after he took stano he checked his sperm count the count is 67M, so he is very confident that it has no effect. what he didn't know at that time it will affect his sperm after 3 months....so when we are ready to have another baby in 2000 we are shock to find out that his sperm was only 2M....how can i get pregnant with that sperm count normally it should be 60M...we did 5 IUI all are failed so we did the ivf, hoping it will be successful. until now his sperm is very low last monday on my egg retrieval it was only 12M with motility of 42% and 1% morphology. even i produce 7 quality egg only 4 were fertilized. we dont have any embryo to freeze. he tried all sort of medicine for his sperm to increase still no improvement. his urologist told him that it really damage his testicle and no one will tell if it will come back again....probably not(hope this is not the case) he did the fsh and lh test both normal. he did an ultrasound for his testicle he has no varicossel(dont know if this is the exact term), he tried the herbal medicine, hcg, clomid, proviron, proxeed, vit e, glutathione, saw palmetto, enduranz, tonkat-ali and other method. his sperm for the past 10 yrs. is on a yoyo count sometimes 2,4,10,3,7,4,10....every 3 months he tried to monitor the count. hope no body uses steroids like he does...he always tell me...if there is one mistake in his life that he regret and that he had a power to take it back...it will be that injecting steroids.....

Hi Elaine just a question about Microdissection TESE, on the internert many people says that in UK nobody does the true micro-TESE  because of missing microspoce that is up to the job.

Is this true?

Also somebody know Dr. David Ralph of the London Clinic? I was told is a very good andrologist.
