Hi!
Weight gain is definitely not helping you to conceive! Often the Glucophage helps people to lose weight--too bad it didn't have that effect for you! If you were my patient, in addition to recommending diet exercise and weight loss, I would prescribe Clomid or Femara. These medications in addition to the Glucophage might help you to ovulate and conceive.
It definitely sounds like you have PCOS, and there is a good chance that you will eventually conceive, but taking Clomid or Femara would definitely speed up the process for you.
Good luck!
Dr B
Yipee! I just thank God, my menses started this morning. My joy knows no bounds this morning. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH DR B. So what next now that i've seen my period. Pls reply. God bless you.
In addition to my observation, i sometimes feel sick and nauseous. I feel hungry most of the time that i will feel as if i've not eaten in days. Is it normal to have all these symptoms while using the drugs(glucophage)?. Pls i earnestly await ur reply. Thank you.
Hi Dr B. I've been taking glucophage since our last communication. Since the past few days, i've had very tender breasts and painful nipples. Pls what does it mean and what should i expect? Should i still add d clomid to the glucophage? I've also notice gradual weight loss though not much. Thank you so much.
Thanks DrB. I'm really and seriously working on my weight. I would be very pleased to get back to you as soon as the medication works. Take care.
