Low Sperm Count..Need Insight ASAP!!!!!

I have went to the doctor 2 times to have my sperm count checked. The first time the count was 7 million sperm, the second time was 11 Million sperm. I was abstinent for 3 days prior to the test. What can I do "naturally" to increase my sperm count. I am a man age 30, I consider my self to be a healthy guy, my wife and have been trying to have children for sometime, she has had 2 miscarriages and is a Type 1 Diabetic. She has had her ovaries checked, and the doctor has stated she is totally fine and can have children. What can I do to increase my sperm count?....

I believe we may have discoursed before? Most often, low sperm counts are not due to any obvious cause. They can sometimes be due to drug ingestion (testosterone, anabolic steroids as examples), endocrine/hormone abnormalities, or a varicose vein called a varicocele.

I would recommend that you and your wife see in infertility specialist/REI physician. Your sperm count should be retested in a specialized andrology lab, which many infertility practices have on site, rather than a commercial lab. Your wife should also be assessed. If the sperm count is confirmed to be low after being tested in an andrology lab, then the next question is whether or not there is something that can be done to improve the count. If not, then IVF is likely going to be the preferred treatment although intrauterine insemination is a consideration also if the total motile sperm count is greater than 10 million in the entire ejactulate.

At age 30, your wife's chances of conceiving are excellent.
