My daughter was diagnosed with PCOS and is on Metformin and a low dose estrogen birth control pill.  Does it make a difference what type of birth control pill.  She was on yasmin but got headaches.  Also I am so confused, the Dr also said we cannot test hormonal levels only if she is off birth control pills for a few months.  How do we make sure her hormonal levels are normal. I also asked for a fu transvaginal ultrasound to make sure the cysts are not getting worse and again he said you don't fu on this either.  I has been 2 years since the last ultrsound.  Thank you so much for your consideration in this matter. Hi!
There are some authors who believe that low b12 levels can reduce fertility.  They don't go on to postulate a mechanism however. A low level can definitely cause anemia.  Whatever that case, taking supplements can't hurt! Being in good health in general is definitely important for fertility and pregnancy!
Good luck!

B12  is in meat in the highest amounts.  That's why vegetarian's often are low. You can also get b12 you put under the tounge. How low is low?  B12 affects the nerves so low b12 will cause nerve symptoms (ie numbness and tingling in the fingers)
