My first question would be why donor eggs at 37, I can only assume premature ovarian failure. And I assume the fresh donor egg cycle was negative and then came the 2 FET pregnancies with the donor eggs that miscarried. First the success in 2 FET pregnacies, maybe not the outcome, but this is a positive. FET pregnancies are against the odds in the 30 to 40 % range of achieving a pregnancy at all and it happened twice.
Second the number one reason for miscarriage is genetics, with a 30 year old donor the miscariage rate is equal to the general population 30%. It is the age of the egg NOT the uterus for the high genetic component to miscarriages.
Two pregnancy loss with 30 year old eggs between 8 and 10 weeks, I would start looking at a diagnosis of recurrent habitual abortions. There are a variety of reason for RHA, recurrent miscarriages and it maybe that some of these should be looked at. But keeping in mind that FET does have a lower take home baby rate than fresh cycles.
Hope it helps,
JM
My second husband and I would like to have a child. But, I had my tubes tied after my son was born 8 1/2 years ago. The only doctor in town that does IVF says he will not do it if a woman is over 40. I'm almost 42, but young looking and young at heart. I don't smoke, don't have high blood pressure, etc. I was wondering if there is anyone who might have had IVF after 40 and what they experienced. Or, if anyone has any advice, please help. Thank you.
