Non doubling HCG Levels

Hi,

I know I will have to wait and see what happens but I really just want someone to talk to today about my concerns.  So here goes:

My embryo transfer was on 6/16 with 3 embryos transferred.
First blood test 7/2 count 280
Second HCG test 7/5 count 684
Third HCG test 7/9 count 1074

My doctor asked me to come in on 7/11 for ultrasound and blood work and stated that my counts were low but not to be alarmed.  Also I noticed that my breasts are not as tender as they were before.  However, I have no other symptoms of concern.  Is there still a chance or should I prepare myself and my husband for the worst?

Oh by the way, I am 43 and we used my own eggs.

Your comments were very kind.  Thank you!

I searched the Internet for clues and support regarding my situation.  Often I would find a similiar question but no follow-up to what actually happened to the individual.  So for those of you who find yourselves in a similiar situation  as mine, I'll post my progress.  Hopefully, you'll find some value in knowing how things turned out.

7/11 HCG levels 1471 slow rise
u/s found gestational sac and yolk (pregnancy confirmed)

Scheduled for another u/s Tuesday next week which is 7/17.

My symptoms at 26 days after egg transfer:
Still lost pregnancy symptoms
Have minor cramping throughout the night
Some spotting but nothing significant.

Still hopeful.

Dear NervousNellie2 - I am sensitive to your concerns. I agree that it would have been better to have seen the beta levels rising more rapidly. There is definitely still a chance, but I too am concerned. There is nothing we can do at this time except follow the beta-HCG levels.
