Questions on preparing for RE visit.. and conflicting doctor info

Few questions…
-first, I really need an honest opinion.. not just medically correct one. I made a decision earlier this year that I regret to terminate pregnancy at 6 weeks with RU 486.  Since then, we have decided we definitely want a third child and will be going to an RE to discuss.   Since the termination,  I have not had a regular cycle for 4 months.. that’s why I want to see a specialist.   However, I am embarrassed to tell them what I did and wonder if they'll question helping me get pregnant.  Have no known fertility issues, except age of 39.  Should I tell them it was miscarriage instead?.. does it matter?
-Also got first cycle back in October, then ended up getting an ovarian cyst that got up to 3.5cm.. so regular OB said wouldn’t ovulate …but day 21 progesterone blood test was 16.6 (which he said means I ovulated).. so if ultrasound didn’t show another follicle except this older enlarged one, how could I have ovulated?
-Now they want day 3 bloodwork. I am having thick brown discharge, instead of bright red, so does this count as day 1? Or what exactly causes this mucousy type of brown discharge?
- I’m supposed to take the bloodwork to the RE, but trying to get prepared on what to tell or not tell.. and also, why the conflicting info from regular OB –vs. what blood test is showing regarding ovulating?

Hi!
Medically, the termination won't matter.  So, tell the RE whatever you feel most comfortable saying. Having a pregnancy termination is incredibly common though, so I never bat an eye when my patient tells me the truth. I doubt another doctor would be shocked or judgemental either.
For the cycle day 3 blood test, make sure that you are having the real period, and on the third day of actual flow you should be tested.
Ovarian cysts don't always prevent ovulation, only the ones that are producing hormones.
So it is possible to have a cyst and also to ovulate.
Good luck with your trip to the RE!

my opinions...

u should tell the truth to ur RE,because they will need to know every single details about ur previuos pregnancy for further investigation....

looks like blood test was correct..u ovulated..ur OB just made a guess...-re-do day 21 test for next months for confirmations...

thick brown charge is not a period..u should have blood flow to consider it a period....

I think ur OB just thought u wouldn't O...the only way to confirm ovulation is day 21 test.
