Unsure about my monthly cycle and fertilty

I had Mirena removed Aug 2nd, I had regular periods on the mirena. When I had it removed I was due for a period but I only got removal bleeding then around the 17th I spotted bright red blood for 3 days not even enough to wear a pad and now here it is 6 weeks later and still no period? I already took a pregnancy test it said neg. I joined other forums and even ladies who haven't got pregnant yet still got their periods and ladies who got theirs out after me got theirs..I'm just wondering whats going on and do I need to see a doc my period was due again on the 7th still nothing...

Hi!
Everyone is different with regard to the return of menses after removal of the Mirena, so if you were my patient, I would not be terribly concerned.  Because you had regular periods previously, you will most likely resume regular cycles again.

If you were my patient, I would repeat the pregnancy test, and if negative, I would offer you a prescription for progesterone to see if we could jump start your cycles.

Hope this is helpful!
Good luck!
