Hi!
If you were my patient, I would do an FSH test.  If this comes back elevated into the menopausal range, it could mean that you have premature ovarian failure.  If it is within the normal range, and progesterone has not induced a withdrawl bleed, a possibility is hypothalamic amenorrhea.  I am presuming that you have had periods previously.
I would also do a prolactin level and thyroid function testing for you.  Depending upon the results of all of this, I might discuss a trial of Clomid/Femara with you to see if we couldn't induce ovulation, followed by a period (or better a pregnancy).
A reproductive endocrinologist would be a very good person to help you sort this all out!
I'd recommend having a consultation with someone in your area!
Good luck!

I'm 24 and I had basically the same problems as you. My obgyn had told me that I'm basically in premenopause. I do know that I have endometriosis which has caused me to go into premenopause since I go months in between and I have to go on meds in order for me to have a period. Has your doctor tested you for endometriosis or anything like that? Sometimes hormone medicine won't work and sometimes they do. Have no idea why that is. Talk to your obgyn and see if the doctor can run different tests and that you are worried. I'm sure he/she will try everything they can to figure it out.
