Ok ladies, i have a question.  I have been taking $tree hpk and they have been negative.  I took FRER on saturday and BFN.  AF is due on wednesday.  I have been feeling very crampy like she is going to come any minute and i have been very hungry and peeing a lot.  I bought some opks off the internet from fertility. c o m. And i got faint pink line two days b4 i 0, i got the dark pink line on tuesday and wednesday, i had ovulation pains on wednesday. wednesday night there was only one pink line, the control line, indicating test worked.  I tried using the opk 3 days later just to make sure, and still just one line.  Well i decided just a few minutes ago, because i had so many opks left, humm let me pee on one. I had got 25 for 20 dollas, and i had bought a pack of the one step ovulation kits just to sorta back up the online ones since i never used any from online. WELL, when i took both test, the pink line came across for the control bar, and a faint pink line came across on the test line.

Am i reaching for the stars because i want to be preggo so bad and want a BFP that im trying to use anything to help me out.  I took $tree hpt today and was BFN.  What do you ladies think, im all out of pee right now, and ive just started drinking soda and water. I have one FRER test left(im tired of buying hpt, at least the good ones, the $tree are more affordable).  AF is due wednesday, should i wait to use it wednesday or use it 2mrw, should i ignore the lines i saw on the opk(and i no i can not be possibly ovulating again). Any responses would be helpful, thank you ladies,

oh darn it, i will test 2mrw(maybe) and wednesday, ty unlaced for that info, guess i briefly read over that when i was reading it online

oh.  hmm.  i read that page i mentioned earlier.  you said your line was faint.  unfortunately, that doesn't mean anything.  just as when using it for ovulation, the test line has to be as dark or darker than the control.  the reason is that LH can be in your system (in small amounts) all during your cycle, so you can get a line at any time from the LH.  that's why the line has to be so dark so you know it's a surge (of either LH or hCG)  :(  sorry.  but you can surely test later!!!

kikicoates, what made me ask the question is that i wanted to see how many people have actually done it, when i saw the other pink line, i thought to myself i no im not ovulatiing, i dont think the normal levels of lh thats already in the body can be detected because its so low unless im going threw menapause lol.  So i looked it up on internet, as unlaced said, i got that info off of peeonastick and it sure said that opk can detect alpha and beta levels, which are found in hcg.

Well i just got back from $tree and bought two test. Going to test 2mrw, and wednesday if no AF in mourning i will test with the FRER.  Im clinging on to some type of hope, but what scares me is, if its a positive, why it didnt show up earlier and makes me wonder if i am preggo, that maybe the numbers arent doubling, see what i mean, ttc brings on too much stress, cant even think about one thing without going 5 steps ahead lol.

Glenda- you no what, i never went back to look at mines, i always threw them out after 3 min.  And darnet, the fiance took out the trash, it had at least 4 days of testing in it lol.

If i am preggo, i will feel very guilty, because i gave up mountain dew in april when i found out i was preggo, and sunday i bought a can thinking AF will be coming, need i say it was the best mountain dew ive ever had lol. Boy caffeine is such an addiction.

I learn somthing new everyday on here. I never would have guessed to use opk to check for pregnancy, i find that very intresting!   ~I LOVE ALL YOU GUYS!

Latrice, I would get to the $tree ~STAT~ if it were me, praying the whole way there.  AND I would test every day until AF comes

I used a $Tree HPT LAST Sunday and it was negative after 3 min., so I through it away.  Later that day, I fished it out of the trash, looked at it, and saw a BFP.  I assumed this was an evaporation line, but curiousity (and wishful thinking) made me research it.  Most evaporation lines are gray or colorless, so I really got hopeful.  Two days later, I used another $Tree test and got a BFP after FIVE minutes.  I figured it was worth the cost to check with an expensive test and it was positive too.  The $Tree tests seem to be less sensitive for me, but some women have really good results with them early on.  Wait a few more days and try a $Tree test again, but wait a full 5min. (not 1-3 as the test says).  There's a 10-min. window--if you get a pos. on that try another FRER.  SSBD.

actually, you have a good idea using an opk...as long as you KNOW you aren't ovulating...it can pick up either LH or hCG...so...and if you others don't believe me look at www.peeonastick.com  there's a section called opk's as hpt's.  it's pretty interesting.  of course, you can't just trust a opk for it, but it's promising!  *sigh*  of course, you're going to have to wait at least a few more days to do another hpt.  i say use the $tree tests first-if you think you get a positive, use the more expensive one.  :D  throwing pounds of baby dust at you!!!

I don't know much about the OPK's but if you tested with an HPT this morning, I would trust that over the OPK.

I would wait...if AF doesn't show on Wednesday, then maybe test on Thursday!

(Also, I would use FMU to just be able to be confident in the results!)
