Ultrasound after + test

Hi all,
I am here trying not to worry but doing a bad job at it. Its been 6weeks since my ivf ET, got a + about 4weeks ago. I was so excited i didn't think about all that could go wrong. My ivf center recommended doing ultrasounds on week 7 and 11. since I will be on vacation at 7 weeks i decided to do the scan before I left which is a little early. Now i regret it. The tech said the scan only showed a sac estimated  to be 5 weeks old, no heartbeat, no poles or yolk. The tech said not to worry just return in 2-3 weeks to repeat the scan. I went on google and there is so much information on blighted ovum I am scared out of my wits. I have one more week to wait to repeat the scan and it is not an easy process.
Has anyone else had early ultrasound which was in conclusive but a successful pregnancy?

OMG, I'm sorry. It definitely causes you lots of stress. I don't have any of personal experiences with the thing like that. Blighted ovums are usually a one time occurrence in women. BUT you AREN'T diagnosed on blighted ovum!! And you did have your ultrasound early!! I know it usually happens due to a chromosomal abnormality. This is known to be from a poor-quality sperm or egg. Or, it may occur due to abnormal cell division. But I really think this is taken into consideration too early. The hardest here is waiting another week. But I'm sure this turns out to be a big mistake and you'll finally get your mind at peace. Keeping you in my prayers. Be strong!
