chemical pregnancy or not?

Hi my husband and I have been ttc for the ast two years now. I have PCOS and my gyno finally perscribed clomid to us a few months back. We started testing about 2 and a half weeks ago and got very faint positives so we waited a couple of days and then there were all negitives. I have gotten blood tests as well but it seems to be the same, one minute its positive the next minute neg. has anyone experienced this? The doctors tell me it MAY be a chemical pregnancy but we will test again in a week. i still have not recieved my period. I am not sure whats going on here any advise would be great.  Thanks!!

Jennifer... I dont think my doctor is doing the quantitaive or they didnt tell me any amount they just told me it was positive then neg. so I'm assuming he is not doing it.. He asked me to get blood work done two days apart because he said it seemed that I was having a chemical pregnancy so maybe he is.. I dunno

Just curious if your dr is doing a quantitaive blood test.  That will give you a number of how much hcg is in your system.

I have to do another blood test in a week like you. My first beta was Wed, second was Friday and then next Friday I will go again to make sure is Zero.

I just did my third IVF and it resulted in a positive pregnancy but a chemical pregnancy as they called it. Basically I am just waiting for a miscarriage. Im so sad. Chemical pregnancies are pregnancies in which you miss the baby before hearing any heartbeat. It happens very early so you don't even know but since we are ttc we know it "all" so we know when we are pregnant, get happy and then miss the baby..... just like that. They said it is because of chromosomal problems or so. Go online and search for it.

My beta went from 17 to 13 in two days. It happens when betas are low most of the time. basically the embryo does not implant.
Im sorry.
