1st time taking chlomid

Hi wondering if anyone has been in the same situation as me or if anyone has any advice for me.  I came off the contraceptive pill over 3 years ago and my period didn't come back.  I've had lots of blood tests showing everything is normal, I've had scan on my ovaries and don't hav pcos but as I was slightly under weight doctor urged me to put weight on which I have done but still no period.  When I mentioned me and partner wanted to try for a family my doctor prescribed me with chlomid.  Because I don't have a cycle as such I started the 5 days at 50mg straight away and I'm now on day 14. I was really emotional and moody on the days taking the tablets and have had a few little pains in my lower stomach the last few days and other than that I'm feeling fine.  Because I haven't had periods for so long I'm feeling negative but want to know if anyone else is in same situation.

hey welcome to the site. i am on my second round of clomid. i'm praying it works this time. anyway i had major hot flashes. didn't have any mood swings.

I am 19 weeks pregnant now.. Actually clomid did not help me to get pregnant... We tried for 21 months.. took alot of different kind of fertility medicines... Until april 09 both of us decided to take couple months off... Take a break and just relax... off all kinds of medicine... then somehow I got pregnant end of april 09 unexpected...

Beside medicines help you get pregnant... also you have to take care of yourself... eat healthy balance diet, regular exercise.. avoid drugs and alcohol... and reduce stress... those factors play a major part of your conceiving...

Things always happen for a reason..  that's why I don't lose my hope...

Here are the fertility medicine I have to take each cycle

Cycle Day (CD) 3 - 7 - Clomid or Femara
CD 8 - 12 - Estradiol
CD 12 or CD13 - will have sonogram to see if there are follicles.. if there are and mature
CD 14 - Injection. for boost your follicle rupture..
CD 15 - 30 - Prometrium 100mg to help the Luther Phrase..

Hi thanks for that. I've read lots of success stories but just think I might not be one. Hope u had some luck after 6 tries. I'll take your advice and take then before bed the next time. Got to go for my blood test on day 21 so hopefully that will say that I've ovulated.

I took clomid for 7 cycles start 50mg to 150mg... have alot of side effects... headache, moody, lower back pain.... the best to take clomid is at night time before bed...

My period irregular... but i don't have same situation as yours... Don't loose your hope... Everything happen for a pupose... keep up your faith and keep praying God...
