You may be right. My neighbor has a little girl a few months younger than SIerra and she has had eczema, diarrhea and a couple really bad episodes of allergic reactions, like swellign and a rash on her whole body. She just had her first allergy test at 10 months and it turns out she is allergic to wheat, eggs, and nuts. Her mom thought it was the dairy but it turned out the dairy was ok. She goes for more tests soon. Not that they ahve isolated those three things out of her diet ( which is soooo hard) her exzema has cleared up and her skin looks great!
Nikki, so sorry to hear about the shots and the allergies. My brother's oldest DD has TONS of allergies and is lactose intolerant. She is slowly adapting to eggs, but still drinks soy milk and she is almost 5. She can't eat corn (as in cornstarch and corn syrup which are in EVERYTHING), beef, peanuts, and a bunch more stuff. She started out with rashes and reflux when she was a baby, but now it's mostly diarrhea and rashes. Hope the GI dr is able to help her. She's probably a bit too young to see an allergist, but who knows.
Hi Ladies,
Just had a heartwrenching experience. Anaiah had her 2 month checkup, and we know what that means.....SHOTS! She cried like I've never seen nor heard. She had this expression like, "why are you letting them do this to me?" My heart bled for her. We got home and gave her some tylenol, and she is sleeping. I really believe she has milk protein allergies. We tried the Alimentum and Nutramigen. Alimentum made her eczema worse, and she broke out in rashes. The Nutramigen gives her loose stools/diarrhea. Go figure. We have a follow up appt with GI doctor in 2 wks.
Deb,
I emailed the pics on Wednesday-I think.
Audrey,
Sophia looked precious in her costume. Glad to hear she enjoyed her birthday. They grow up so fast!!
Glenda,
Sorry to hear about the migraine. DH gets those, and they are TERRIBLE!
Sweedy,
How are things with you? Write soon.
Nicki,
Glad to hear the boys are doing well. How old was Chase when he outgrew his colic?
LJ, Amy, Bemy.....Hello.
Nikki
Hi all,
Glenda and Hopeful,
So excited for the two of you...thanks for keeping us updated!
Amy,
I also did 1 FET cycle. My 6 cell grade A embies turned into 4 cell grade Bs and 2 did not survive the thaw. Meds were estrogen, progesterone and Heparin. It's great you have some 8 cell embies. When will you begin your cycle? My prayers are with you.
Nicki,
Are the boys dressing for Halloween? Sophia is a pumpkin fairy and I will be a scarecrow. We had a pumpkin patch Halloween party theme for her birthday party...so much fun!!
Deb,
Girl, it is always so good to hear from you! I will send you pics ASAP. Have you decided on your next step? I hate Bush too and am most probably voting for Obama!
Nikki, LJ, Sweedy,Bemy,
Hope you are well! Drop us a line when you can!
Happy Halloween to all!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweedy and Bemy,
Hope you are well
I was just thinking about Sweedy too. I hope you are well!
Thanks for the info ladies. I have my consultation appointment so we'll see. I thought I might have two tries with the frozen embies we had too but I learned they froze them all in the same vial...evidently each vial hold 6. So if they defrost a few, they defrost them all. Being back into all this science is strange.
Hi all,
Thanks for the pics LJ they were great - hope you are well.
Amy - I did donor eggs and did two FET's. Some of the embryos didn't thaw well so that is the only risk. All of them were day 5 and good quality but it depends on how they freeze and thaw. I would suspect you would do the same meds as I did and it was the estrogen and progesterone. I am kind of surprised you wouldn't have two tries left and you are young still!!!
Audrey - happy belated b-day to Sophia!! Do you have pics?
Nicki - where are your pics? I hate Bush too. I am still undecided but am leaning toward McCain even though I think he is too old and Obama is definitely more eloquent. Am really curious to see what happens next week.
Nikki - I never got pics. Hope your baby girl is doing better. That GERD or colic sounds terrible. But like Nicki said, they have to grow out of it.
Glenda and Hopeful - glad all is going well. You must be so excited!!
Sweedy - where are you and what is going on?
Take care all!
