Just left re 6 days on stims and only 2 follies one on each side one is measuring 14 the other 13.3 she said I have a alot of eggs!!! is this good or bad I feel like im running out of time and money the meds our so expensive and my insurance covers nothing!!!!!!

Hi I'm new to this thread.  I hope your u/s went well today.  I think, if you still have meds to take, it's not too late. They can still develop.

I had my 1st u/s since baseline today.  RE saw growth in 3 eggs.  He counted 15 follicles during baseline u/s. He upped my dosage to 4 vials of bravelle from 3.     Tonight I will have my day 5 meds, including 4 vials of bravelle/ 1 vial of menopur.  

Don't get discouraged.

My nurse called yesterday and uped my stims and put me on garnarelix she said I have a good reserve im just a slow responder to the stims when I went for bw/us on tues I had 16+ eggs but none were stimming so hopefully when I go back on monday for bw/us their will be alot more follies!!! We cant do iui cause of my husbands count to low

I agree with Helen72... you do not have 'alot of eggs' if you only have two follicles on each side. And you are already on day 6 of meds? I do not think your RE should do an egg retrieval, and send the eggs to a lab if you only have 4 forming but I guess let's see what he or she says. They can convert it to an IUI rather than waste your money on a retrieval and so on.

My re would only proceed with ivf if there are 5 or more follies.  If you still have only 2 next scan your re can convert it to IUI.  You should not spend $$ on retrieval and transfer plus embryology lab if you only have a 2-3 follies to work with.  Note that a change in protocol can improve your response.

I am so sorry this is all so stressful and expensive!

That early in for ivf is still good.  U have a much longer cycle with stims then iui girls. GL

If you are doing IUI or trying naturally then 2 is pretty good.  And they are about the same size which is a good sign.

are u doing iui or ivf. for iui u have a good number.  I have only had 1 or 2 before. this time i had 3. most re's dont like u to get more than 3.
