How long does it take??

For those of you that have had natural miscarriages after finding fetal demise on ultrasound, how long did it take for your bleeding to start?? or any mc symptoms for that matter? also how long did it take once you stopped progesterone if you were on that?? i'm 10 days after our ultrasound where we learned that the baby had stopped developing and still no signs of mc.. but continued signs of preg - sorebb's, serious all day morning sickness! etc.. THANK you for ANY advice!!! (i'm trying to avoid a d&c)

no i was not on progesterone at the time but i am now after my 2 losses.  the was scared of the d and c's too but it was not bad.  i had 2 of them because me and my doctor felt it would be quicker than waiting and a lot of people said that the pill option is rather painful with cramping etc.  but i had no scar tissue at all from 2 of them.  you need to talk to the doctor that would be performing it and ask them their track record.  i know i did not have any scar tissue because when i went to the fertility doctor just to see what could have caused the 2 MC's he did a hysteroscopy, which is a camera in your uterus to check for scar tisse and none was found.  he also told me that for if some reason any was found, he could remove it within seconds.

Firstly I am so sorry for your loss. I hadnt realised I was pregnant so when I miscarried I actually thought it was a very long period. It went on for 3 weeks and my HCG wouldnt get down to zero. I landed up opting for a D&C as it was just way too emotionally painful by that stage.
Take care and again so sorry.

I'm sorry for what you're going through cause i know it's not easy. I have had 3 m/c since last year all m/c naturally. Unfortunately it takes time. With the first one it took me 4 weeks for pain and cramping to start. The other two i took a pill called misoprostol to induce the m/c. I started m/c withing 8 hours. I'm sorry for your loss. Be faithfull that you'll be pregnant again. Take care

unfortunately i opted both times for the d and c because the doctor said that sometimes it can take up to a month for your body to expel naturally and i could not walk around for a month with my baby not aloive inside me.  are you avoiding the d and c for any specific reason?

i also had no signs of MC at all, we just went in for US's and there was not heratbeat both pregnancies.
