I want to start using birth control.

I have a few questions about it, and i'd like to have opinions and experiences.

1. How long after you start taking it does it work?

2. When you want to get off the pill, how long does it take for you to start to concieve?

3. Pills have to be taken at the same time everyday, meaning it could be in the morning , afternoon or night, a certain hour specifically?

My boyfriend and I are try to be safe, and hopefully when we get married and it's the right time, start our family.

I dont remember how long until they work but I think they said to still use back up methods for the first month. When I got off the pill, my dr said to wait 2 months before trying to conceive. We waited the 2 months and then got pregnant the first time we tried that month. It takes longer for some people to regulate after coming off it though. Pills only have to be taken at the same time of day, like within a few hours everyday, but not necessarily the same hour. It just helps to be consistent. I set an alarm on my phone everyday to remind me to take it. If you are wanting to conceive within a year, I dont know if it would be worth it because bc can mess with your hormones and can make it more difficult to get pregnant for a while after.

That's what i was thinking, that i don't know how my body will react to it, and when i do want to become pregnant i wont be able to or it will take a  longer time. Thank you. :)

Yeah if you want a baby anytime soon, I wouldn't risk it! I got pregnant the 3rd month off it and had a miscarriage. We are trying again but my hormones and cycles are  really messed up. I can't say it is because of being on bc, but my cycles were perfect before being on it, but now they are all over the place.

I'm sorry to hear that. My cycles are perfect because I know exactly when they are coming. Thank you, that was my biggest worry. I don't think I am going to risk if, if I know what could happen.
