Hello,

I am new to IVF but not new to injections and iui's.  Anyways, first I'd like to say that I read alot of posts but rarely reply but want to say thanks to all of you for sharing your stories!

Ok-I had my first sono today and it is a go with IVF so today is the first injection of Lupron-yeah:)
While we were there my doctor asked DH and I if we were talked to about the Luveris study he wants to put us in.  We weren't-  but I don't mind being in a study!!!  Has anyone been involved in a study like this before?? Does this help with the costs?? From what I've googled this is a drug you take while on gonal. Any insight would help!!

geez I do not like the whole "UNKNOWN" word in the sentence:) I will have to do some research and ask a ton of questions cuz I would hate to go through all of this and have some "unknown" problem occur!!  Thank you!!

I would look into this drug on your own as well before committing to any studies..... I looked it up and found this info, but other than this it looked really promising!

In clinical trials Luveris® was co–administered with EMD Serono's follitropin alfa for injection (Gonal–f®). The safety and effectiveness of concomitant administration of Luveris® with any other preparation of recombinant human FSH or urinary human FSH is UNKNOWN.
