This is my first time posting on one of these websites. I try to read as many stories as possible for inspiration. I myself have PCOS. I was diagnosed last year, but I am sure I developed it in my teens. I have a family history of PCOS. I have taken one round of clomid 50 mg along with 500 mg of metformin tri-daily, and I had no ovulation. The next month I had a regular cycle, but I did not take clomid in fear of developing bigger cysts. I am supposed to start AF on the 28th which is about 3 days away. I will be taking 100 mg of clomid on days 5-9. I am praying that it works, and I acheive ovulation. I am currently working with three pregnant women, and it is hard to watch them be happy. Please pray for me and my husband!
hi.. just wanted all of you to know that I am in the same boat as all of you here.. I also had PCOS and ttc but no luck.. i am on 1000mg of metformin and on 150mg of clomid this cycle.. with my first round of clomid i got my af after 40 days. (no ovulation, no dominant follicle) On my second cycle (100mg) my dr decided to put me on provera on shorten my waiting time (because there were still no ovulation)..got my period after 35 days. this is my third try with dosage higher. i hope i will ovulate this month.. and hopefully got pregnant. btw, i was also on premarin for day 10-15 of my cycle to thicken my endometrium. gosh i take a lot of meds. anyone who here that is not ovulating on clomid? at how much dosage will i ovulate.. im so frustrated but im still hopeful. please pray for me as well. my prayers are with you too!
I'm glad I found people who can relate to me and what I am going thru! I am a 25 year old woman diagnosed with PCOS since I was 15 years old. At the time my doctor put me on BC pills & 2000 mcg of Glucophage. From that I lost about 60 lbs about 6 months, but as soon as i got off the medication I gained it all back! Now my fiance' and I are TTC and have had no luck in the 8 years we have been together. My OBGYN sent me to a specialist who then performed numerous test to see what the problem was. We knew of the PCOS , but he figured there was something else wrong. After a histerpinogram (which was very painful) he found that I had a numerous number of polyps growing on my uterus. I went through the procedure to have them removed. So now I'm waiting on mense to come (with the helpf provera) so I can start my 100 mg of Clomid. Then I will go thru the IUI process. I am just sitting around praying on my miracle!
When I was first put on Clomid, my cycle was a few days late (5 days late I believe). I've read that this has happened to other people as well. I would give it another week (from when your period was due) and if still no period and negative HPT, then I would call your doctor. Good luck!
I was diagnosed with PCOS 2 years ago I believe I had it when i was in my early 20's (now 35) as I have always had irregular periods my doctor prescribe clomid when I was 24 and I became pregnant with my son(now 9 years old) just after the second dosage I am now ttc again I was place on metformin when i was diagnosed 2 years ago and it regulated my period so I'm hoping with both metformin and clomid I get pregnant with me luck as i wish all of you who are ttc as well!!
