Ill let you know how my next appointment goes! Thanks for everything.

Basically what he said today was he was double checking through bloodwork anything that could be wront like antibodies and what not. He said I was measuring a little small and to go back in a week and to continue to take my progesterone suppositories. He seemed to think maybe I measure small because progesterone was late starting it.

This happened to me I had a heart beat but it was not growing right. I lost mine at 3 and a half months but my friend had the same thing as me and had a healthy baby boy.

sorry to butt in, but could you call the doc and ask for a better explanation?  You can make your self sound like a mess and they will explain in laymans terms?

Ok, well, I think you are ok. Let me know when you have your next apt. Good Luck. Try, as hard as it is, not to worry too much.

Ya it was the yolk sack i was worried about. I found the same things you did. Maybe I will catch up for sure when I go back next week.

Is it the Yolk sac you are worried about? Because everything I'm finding says the problem is when the yolk sac is too big.

Yolk Sac
As the pregnancy advances, the next structure to become visible to ultrasound is the yolk sac. This is a round, sonolucent structure with a bright rim.

The yolk sac first appears during the fifth week of pregnancy and grows to be no larger than 6 mm. Yolk sacs larger than 6 mm are usually indicative of an abnormal pregnancy. Failure to identify (with transvaginal ultrasound) a yolk sac when the gestational sac has grown to 12 mm is also usually indicative of a failed pregnancy.

Yolk sacs that are moving within the gestational sac ("floating"), contain echogenic material (rather than sonolucent), or are gross misshapen are ominous findings for the pregnancy.

The yolk sac is going to be smaller than the gestational sac though right?? I think they measure dating by gestational sac since thats the outside part of it right? There is always hope! and i'm sending you tons and tons of prayers!!!!!!

My exp says that with babies this early.. the U/S machines are not really very accurate to date them. The sizing of the baby is done with Dr marking two end points(head to rump). With babies this small even a mm makes a diff in determining their age.
Please do not worry too much .. thats the last thing u need at this stage. Stay +ve and things will follow.

Check out this site. I would say you are about 8 weeks if you triggered 6 weeks ago. Are you sure your Dr didn't say 15mm, because I did the conversion and it said that would be 150mm which is way too big.  According to the site your baby should be 18mm, and if you implanted late you are probly right on target.

I'm not sure how to date using cm's... I know when i went in that my dr said i was "this many days behind" etc.. did they say that at all? what did your dr tell you to do or say overall? if he didn't seem worried i'm sure its all fine! first of all ultrasounds esp in early pregnancy can be +/- 4 days off, then you can have the late implantation, or sometimes just a slow initial bean that catches up and everything works out just fine! : ) Did they set you up for a follow up?
