Anyone have success with IUI?

I haven't read many posts of people having success with their IUI. Did any of you have luck? I am questioning going for my 2nd IUI. My first one didn't work. I am currently experiencing almost 2 years of secondary infertility. Got pregnant easy with my first. I have not been pregnant at all in the 19 months of trying. NOt even a chemical pregnancy. I have had every test done in the book. Only thing dr can tell me is my age is affecting my fertility. I'm 38 and my FSH is at a 9 although i had another FSH taken 2 mos prior to getting the 9 and it was at a 5 so i'm not sure how accurate either of those #'s are. Anyway - my insurance pays for nothing in terms of fertility so all of this is out of pocket. Do I do another IUI and spend almost $3K - including drugs (i would be doing injectables this time as i had too many bad side effects on clomid). OR do i wait and just go for IVF? what do you think? My dr keeps telling me this is a process but I'm not so sure...

Thanks for the comments! I love hearing the success stories. I am definitely moving forward with IUI #2 and will just pray and hope that it works. I had my baseline U/S today and I'm clear to start follistism tonight. Dr. said he will see me on wed and probably sat and IUI might be Monday.

I had one IUI in January did not worked we did another one in March and I just got my BFP on March 19 so it definetly works you might have to attmept it a coulple of times but the IUI puts the sperms closer to give you more chances of conceiving...good luck

With my ds, we got pregnant from our 4th IUI.  We just had our 1st failed IUI for trying for # 2. We are doing our 2nd IUI this week.  Good luck!
