unfortunaletly infertility doesn't just pertain to those whom can't get pregnant w/o help but those who have a problem holding on to a pregnancy also. I have no problem getting pregnant its keeping it I'm having problems with. I have sex every other day until I get my period again. I don't chart or anything, although this last time I did. I always get pregnant the month I start trying..
I was supposed to start Clomid in September if i was not pregnant by then, in June, i found out I was pregnant! I charted on Fertility Friend and used a Clear Blue Easy monitor, used instead cups, temped and it actually took 10 months. Now, of those 10 months, 3 we were not trying (we lost our son in Dec '05). The first month we used all those (monitor, temping, ICs, BDing every other day) we got pregnant.
I hope you can get preg without clomid. they wanted to start me sooner, but with my medical problems (kidney disease, type I diabetes, Hi BP) they didnt want to chance twins unless we just had to.
Good Luck!
Oh, i tested +hpt on 11dpo, by accident actually. i took the test and when it didnt pop up + immediately, i threw it in the trash. when I got home that night, i went to the bathroom and it was +...i figured it was a evap line...so i tested again the next morning, took more than 3 minutes, so i did it again the next morning and they were all ++++! I hope you test + soon. Oh, dont get the digital tests to test early...they are no good!
I haven't tried Clomid but I was going to try to have my OB prescribe it because I was getting impatient. My dh and I have tried 10 cycles and the tenth was a charm! Plus, I have been charting and noticed my luteal phase is on the short side of normal (10 days, consistantly... 1 cycle was 11 days). One side note: My OB was very reluctant to prescribe Clomid until way down the road b/c of the side effects and I was already ovulating. Good luck!
Agaila, my luteal phase is on the short side too (more like 11-12 days)... what are the tricks you used to get pregant this time? I would love to know!
Thanks.
Hey, Scoopa!!!
Yep! I did last month!!! I used OPK, took prenatals, and it worked!
You know this may sound strange but I believe this had something to do w/ it. My daughter was sick w/ a bad cold so my husband and I took Airborne which has MEGA vitamins (mainly C) in it. You are supposed to take 1 tablet every 3-4 hours. And, of course, I was taking prenatal vitamins. What is weird is I noticed my CM was abundant and I attribute the Airborne to that. It could be that you have to drop the tablet in about 8 ounces of water and drinking that much water helped increase my CM. In addition, I did my usual: tried to time the BDing w/ ovulation and did THE DAY AFTER my mittelschmerz pain (the middle pain at mid-month).
You took the question out of my mouth I also wanted to post something like that.I am glad u posted though. Well I also wanted to ask on what DPO are they in and or what cycle day and if they tested when were they able to get the BFP? I'm currently taking clomid and the only symptoms I have are sore BB not much thouhg and a very very mild cramp, it just started last night. I think I'm 12 days dpo. I tested when I was 9 dpo and 10 dpo and got a vey BFN! do u guys think I tested too soon. Help!!!!
Thanks you guys. I am doing all those things things month, including taking prenatals, drinking lots of fluids, etc, so hopefully we'll have luck..
Lawgirl you are my hero - I would love to get pg without drugs!
Hey, did you check out the personal story about the tea? I think it was on the Women's Forum, but it may have been Maternal and Child. Look into it because apparently if you drink it regularly, it can help encourage implantation. I am not sure if it is a wives tail or if there is trust to it, but it may be worth trying!
We tried clomid, unmonitored in December & January with no luck. I got my period in February and we decided we'd just give up trying for a while and let God handle the timing. Well, we must've conceived in March when we were just enjoying each other because today I got several big fat positives :) Hallelujah!
