fertility
i have used heroine for 6 yrs. i have been clean 10 wks, for the last 4 yrs i only had a period maybe once or twice a year and they were very light. last week i think i had my first real period as it was very heavey i just wanted to know if my fertility will be permanetly effected or in time will it return? im 28 yrs old i have a 7 yr old and one day would like another, will that be possible if i stay clean? thanks

Congrats on being clean and sober. That is the first step to the rest of your life. My husband has been clean and sober for 5 years and we started IVF last year. He said he always prayed for things to happen according to gods plan not his. I am now 6wks pregnant. So things happen when they should. When you are strong enough it will happen. Be selfish for now and concentrate on your self and getting stronger, everything else will fall into place. Work a program, you need support no one can ever do it alone no matter how strong you are. Work a good program for recovery and pray about it. God will give you the gifts you deserve. Get right with yourself and then leave it up to god. Good Luck.
CONGRATS ON CLEANING UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is possible that ur fertility will return but keep in mind that ur eggs have been inside u ur whole life so any drugs u put in ur body could affect them the only way to know for sure what will happen is to wait and see im glad that u have gotten away from the drugs and i hope that u can stay away from them i know how hard it is to stay clean u r young and u have a young child to think about just keep that in mind and maybe someday u will b blessed with another baby when u decide to try though u should see a dr early to make sure that all is well and untill ur ready u should use birth controll children and pregnancy is very stressful especial when ur not ready for it GOOD LUCK !!!!!!
