At home ovulation tests

Hi guys just thought I'd ask you- has anyone here had bad luck with at home ovulation tests.  My period is like clockwork every 28 days exactly.  But I can't seem to get a positive ov test even when I test a wide range like days 10-20?  I told my gyno before my lap surgery (for endo) and he said don't worry he's SURE I'm ovulating?  Could I have PCOS?  I have no symptoms and have NEVER missed a period.  How is that diagnosed? WOuld he have seen it during my lap to remove a huge endometrioma from my ovary?  Could that have been why I didn't ovulate?

Help!!  Thanks Girls!!!

Nice Posting!! Keep it up!!Main problem faced by women trying to conceive. It is necessary to know the RIGHT Day, RIGHT Time and RIGHT Way for conception…Now you can plan your pregnancy and you can choose your date and time of pregnancy as you like with Ovulation Kit.

I'm not sure how your doctor is "sure" you are ovulating if he hasn't done any bloodwork/ultrasounds to confirm it.  I also just go to a regular OBGYN and sometimes I don't think they look into things as closely as they should.  But anyway, since you have a regular cycle, you more than likely are ovulating.  You could try using 2 per day (one early afternoon and one evening) to see if that helps since some women's surges are shorter and you could be missing them.  Have you ever tried BBT?  That could help you pinpoint your O day too.  Otherwise, maybe you should ask your doctor for a cd21 progesterone blood test.  Your progesterone should peak at about 7dpo and if you get a level of 10 or higher, this would confirm ovulation.  That might be the easiest first step.  Another option would be an ultrasound around the middle of your cycle to see if you have follies that are getting ready to rupture.

My doctor can tell if and when I'm going to ovulate by doing an ultrasound.

If your cycle is 28 days, you're ovulating on most likely on the 14th day.

The Ovulation kits do not work for everyone.

Hi Jess800,
Before moving on to IVF, I tried the ovulator kits and they never worked for me.  They never worked for my mom either.  You could be ovulating but your hormone level is not as high as the level they put in the ovulator kit.

you should go in for the testing 3 days after your af starts to see if you drop healthy eggs.  it is a simple bloodwork test.  ask them for it asap.

Thanks for the advice:-) I guess I should ask my gyn...we just reached 1 yr of ttc so probably RE is the next step.  I guess they will be able to see if I am ovulating.  The cyst may have messed me up a little.  Do you think it is possible to not be ovulating but have such regular periods?

have you asked him how he is so sure you are ovulating? seems like depends on signs they can see in there - like effects of a corpus lutem? if you dont ovulate there is no corpus lutem therefore it cant produce the progesterone needed in the last phase of the cycle.
