I have been testing with OPKs and it looks like I got my positive LH surge yesterday afternoon and last night, this morning it wasn't as dark as last night and yesterday, but OPK was dark none the less.
At RE's office where they're doing superovulation on me with IUI, they were suppose to draw LH , but doctor made me do another OPK there and he said I've got my LH surge and I should be ovulating. My follicles looked intact on the ultrasound and I've got 4 mature ones ready to go.
Of course they wanted to do IUI that afternoon, but DH can't get there to make his donation because of his job and short notice. So they will do IUI tomorrow on me at 9:00 am and DH has to be there at 7:30 am. DH doesn't have a sperm count issue, it's all me. He has very good count and motility
I figured this would be an issue last night so I made sure that we BD'd.
So here are my questions:
1) Are we screwed now because of the timing?
2 ) How long does the egg live for? I've heard 12 hours, but RE said 24. I've also read/heard it was maybe even 6 hours when you're "advanced maternal age" and I'm 41.
3) Do you think we should BD tonight too or do you think that will lower the count on tomorrow morning?
4) Do you think they' do another ultrasound tomorrow to see if the follicles are gone?
Thanks in advance for your input
