Calling All Women of Strength !!!

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape…
But a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape.
A strong woman isn't afraid of anything…
But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear.
A strong woman won't let anyone get the better of her…
But a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.
A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future…
A woman of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be unexpected blessings and capitalizes on them.
A strong woman wears a look of confidence on her face…
But a woman of strength wears grace.
A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…
But a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.

Hey, ladies! It's been a long day. Sorry I couldn't update sooner. We've been spending so much time at the hospital & we're enjoying every minute. The nurses are awesome & welcome us to stay & learn ;) We've been taking their temps, changing them, feeding them & of course, taking lots of pictures! ;) Both Ricky & Ava have been moved out of their incubators & into open-air cradles, which is good news :) Now we can bring clothes for them to wear, which is fun :) They need to maintain their body temps in the open air & the clothing helps. They've both been having some reflux issues & so, they've cut back Ricky's bottle feedings to three per day (the rest are via a tube). She's taking about half of her food through a bottle & the rest through a tube. The breast milk is helping, though. It's easier for them to digest & luckily I'm making a lot more! Yay :) We decided to rent a machine from the hospital & it's just so much better than the one I purchased. There's a lactation unit at the hospital & they're just so nice & helpful. They're very pro breastfeeding, so they'll come to my side in the NICU and help me to spend time with the babies skin on skin & teach me how to breastfeed properly ;) Oh! The NICU nurses also have dolls they call "loveys" & dh and I put them under our shirts against our skin & then put the loveys in with the babies, so they can cuddle with your scent ;) They also just approved a program where we can bring in hard-covered books & read to the babies :) Then we can sanitize them & leave them there. Ok! I'm writing too much :) Just wanted to give a recap of what we've been doing. We're going to have dinner & head back over to the hospital soon :) Oh! My shower is this weekend! We can't wait. Dh & I actually took over most of the planning & we're having it catered. We also bought a very special cake :) I'll be sure to take pics :) dh will put together a slide show of baby pics to okay throughout the day, which will be pretty cool.

Sbumblebeeo: That's a great question & the number one thing I would tell you to bring is some type of slippers or slip on shoes. It'll be more comfortable walking from your bed to the bathroom. Of course I was there longer than hopefully you'll be, but I even wore mine in the shower ;) Your situation may be different if Shelby comes naturally rather than via c section, but I'd pack changes of underwear & some socks. Bring loose clothing or maternity clothing for when you leave the hospital because if you're anything like me, you won't fit your ore-maternity clothes. If you're there long enough & plan to shower, bring anything you need for a shower. Most of the things I needed were supplied to me, but that may not always be the case. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know :) Happy early 35 Weeks!

My babies will be one week old at 12:15 & 12:16 a.m.! :)

Hey ladies! :) What a long day it was! My bestfriend had her first appointment today, and we got an u/s! She's not too sure on when her LMP was, so the u/s determined that she's about 4-5 weeks along! Which makes sense b/c she just got  + on Monday. Her next u/s is in 2 weeks, so we'll see more then! :)

Sbumblebeeo- lol, you crack me up! It doesn't matter the size of your bbs, your body will make what your baby needs! ;) And trust me, they'll get bigger! I was a 36B pre-baby, then a 38C during my pregnancy and now I'm a 36D!! I'm sorry you couldn't get the c sections scheduled for earlier! I know that's a bummer, but you are definately correct! You could still go into labor on your own, but at least for now you have something scheduled and can plan on it, ya know? I'm glad you're getting what you wanted, a c section! :) That's good your off bedrest, but still try and take it easy! :)

Mommyin10- Yayy for the babies gaining weight!! That's a HUGE milestone, and has got to make you feel great knowing your milk is doing the trick! ;) I'm glad you're getting lots of tips from the nurses! I know that just builds your confidence on breastfeeding! :) So basically when they gain a little more weight and start eating strictly out of a bottle they can come home, right? I can't wait for that!! :) What time is your baby shower tomorrow? I hope you have a blast seeing your co-workers again! :)

Keyan- Your dream is too cute! I know mommyin10 will love it! :) I'm glad your feeling so positive about adopting, that's great! I bet it is a ton of work, but it'll be worth it in the end! :) And like I said before, now that you're feeling so relaxed about ttc'ing, you'll get pregnant! ;) I can't wait to see pics of the fur babies and you and dh! What a bummer it's supposed to rain all weekend there! We're actually going to have beautiful weather this weekend, so I think Addy and I will take our first walk in the park! Yayy!! :)

Dnikki- How's everything going? Can't wait to see more pics of Peyton! I know you're busy, but check in when you have a sec to breathe! lol! ;)

Babymadd- Welcome to our thread! :) I'll be crossing my fingers that AF stays away and you can test on Friday!! :)

Kmcarino- Congrats, I'm glad to hear that your measuring right on target!! :) Have fun on your vacation!!!

Nino7- I think it's good to wait for iui, and get the tests done first! Will you still ttc naturally this month?

Heres my update from yesterday...
Well this isn't the greatest update... the doctor did the u/s and said she is in fact breech (just like I said) and so we are now scheduled for a c section but not until April 1.  He stopped the meds and said to do what I feel I can but I am not released back to work, which is fine with me.  I think it's crappy that he stopped the meds and is going to let me cramp and be miserable until April 1.  I  asked if we could do  it any sooner and he said no b/c the  earliest he is allowed to do it is 39 weeks but I told him my last u/s said that was my due date and he said no, we will go by your very first due date, they are the most acurate.  So basically I just gained a WEEK and cramps!  Grrr.  I begged and  pledded but it got me no where.  There is still a chance that I could go into labor early on my own and then it would result in an emergency c section but i am not dilated at all yet.  The only good thing is that from now on I get to see her at my weekly appointments.  Oh well.  I wanted a c section so I guess I'm getting what I want.  Now suddenly I am scared.  Oh and... I'll be in the hospital over Easter and kind of feel like I am ruining everyone's holiday.  Oh well.  It's a lot to take in is all.  I'll be fine in a few days.  Everything just seems to change drastically at every appointment.  Well that's my update for now.  God knows it's possible that next Wednesday  it could all change again!  :)  I'll be fine.  You defenitly can't "plan" anything when going through this type of thing.

mommyin10-  When I was in the hospital in December b/c of the labor a lactation nurse came in and brought me some things to read.  They are all about breastfeeding and have lactation nurses there too.  Who knows if it will work out or not for me.  I am not the biggest person in the world and yesterday after our appointment  I went to the Motherhood store to buy a couple of bras  just in case and the 36 B was too BIG!  Shelby will starve to death if these things don't get a lot bigger.  I ended up buying two of these sleep bras that look kind of like a sports bra thing and I may buy some nurseing tank tops b/c they seem to fit smaller woman.  Oh well.  Just another thing.

mommyin10: I am really happy Ava and Ricky are gaining weight! ... do you have a time when the doctors think they can go home? I had a dream last night....I think from reading too much in to your post LOL...I was trying to breastfeed my twin boy and girl !!!! just like you lol, the only difference that the girl was the bigger one....LOL...I am writing this, and I can't stop smiling thinking about the dream...it was nice, but funny at the same time, I mean, is crazy how our minds makes us have dreams...I am sure your story had a lot to do with it! About this cycle...I don't know, really not thinking too much in to it....this process (adoption), my good GOD!, it is keeping us very busy, I don't know if everywhere is the same, but they ask for soooo much paper work, it's been like 3 weeks now that we have been working on them, maybe is because we are using the gov agency, I don't know, but is good because I am actually more excited to work on that than TTC, sounds crazy I know, but is true! we are still TTCing, but just more relax about it, I guess is the best way to describe it.

Nino: I think taking the a break is good, and is good that your DH is cooperating with you with the next step, taking the lead in planning. good luck

BabyMadd: Welcome! ....will you be testing soon?

Luvkayln: let me say...aww!! Addy's pic are adorable! about the family pic, yes my babies have to be on it! we were planning on doing them on our landscaping area, but is suppose to be raining here over the weekend, so we are not sure, but we will be ready for if/when the sun appears! I will share it with you when I have it! ...I will be taking the pic myself, is a hubby I like to do, taking pics!
